ALERT!!! PLEASE click SILENCE above, go to new layout. ;o)

My head is all over the place since Kaya left and it is hard to focus on anything for longer than a minute!

During the last few weeks I had been going up to chesil beach and grabbing some driftwood to get creative.

Here is the mirror I already had in my bathroom, with some added touches, needs a few shells and bits adding yet but it's a start.

Got a big box of wood and I have some ideas to utilise them with, mirrors, pictures, alsorts!

What do you think?

Something you would have in your home?

"End of a chapter"

Well I got back online...at last!

I have borrowed a monitor, though its a 14 inch and small, it works! ;o)

I have to say a happy birthday for my eldest niece, Chloe, who was 9 yesterday.

Sad to say yesterday at 6.25 pm my beautiful dog Kaya passed away, gutted but pleased I was there for her last moments, she is at peace... I love ya kaya, RIP and thank you for being such a perfect pet, I will miss you so much.

Kaya... 19th Sept 1991 - 26th April 2007.

I have had a nice break where I spent alot of time with Kaya so I am glad to have not been online in the last few weeks.

I wondered what I had missed online over the last few weeks so I was very saddened to read in an email of the passing of Gary Halbert, my thoughts go out to his family.

RIP Gary Halbert.

Good to be back and hope all is well with you readers. ;o)

The view from my kitchen window.

Clicking on the pictures gives you a full size image, as all on the blog do.

It was nice to watch it slowly change colours.

dark moody sunset cove inn portland bill
From a cool blue to a deep red, with a dark and moody exit!

Will have to capture more of these great sunsets we have!

What's your view like from your window?
Makes washing up a pleasure to do at times like this! :o)

"The Verne"

verne prison at portlandA forum user asked me if the well known "underground prison" was still here at Portland, which as you can see from the pictures is still in use.

This is an old prison, I know it was one of the hardest and highest categories at one time.

There is a tale I started reading one time in a quaint old book about this prison and it's prisoners, a man known as something like "crazy bill, wild man of Portland", or something like that!

Been some seriously crazy ones in there in the early end of the last century!

But...

Even in my childhood in the 70's it was a higher known and badder reputation than it is now.

Here are a few pictures of the Verne!

This first picture is looking at the entrance gate, you can see the prison shaped into the hill clearly here, on my immediate right is the bridge to it, as seen in the second picture.

the bridge view and the trench at verne prison This at literally the top of the island. The second picture also shows the "trench" that goes around the prison, very deep too.

As kids we used to say..."wow, you can imagine lions in there at one stage, like some Roman fortress this, they would eat one who dared escape!"

Even my sons had a laugh at that, but started adding there own little ideas into it... ;o)

view south of verne prison and trench
Gotta love the imagination!

The last picture is also taken from the same point as the other two.

Just a little to to the left so you can appreciate the depth of the prison and how it "fits" into the island, as well as that trench!

Quite high up here! :o)

"Pair of cool dudes"

Taking pictures again is great, here is a picture of the two coolest dudes on the planet!

Ok, maybe I AM biased... ;o)

This is also overlooking chesil beach here.

As it's the easter holidays I will have a great opportunity to take some more pictures of my boys, though I will not be posting them all obviously.

It did get me thinking about something though, are you making the most of the different parts of the year in your work efforts?

Meaning do you capitilise on these events?

Easter, Christmas etc...events you can use in your marketing efforts.

Do you plan your year in this way at all?

If so...how?

"Beautiful"

full moon over portlandI love to look at the moon, always have done and I think last night was a lovely night to be moon gazing!

This is right over chesil beach.

Look at him smiling down on my blog... ;o)

Or is that a smirk?

Seeing as we are 90 odd % water and the moon has a big effect on the earths waters surely it has an effect on us?

I think we must underestimate any influence on us it has.

Do you like to look at the moon?

"Something unique"

I enjoyed doing the last post with the tips, as well as looking at all the other tips people shared after they were tagged with the meme.
Interesting to say the least.

I did notice something NO ONE mentioned regarding success.

It is an easily overlooked yet very important step in getting to where you want to be.
I can with 100% accuracy say this has been a part of your life even if you don't realise it!

Because I have yet to see this anywhere I decided to do it myself for your benefit as well as my own.
There is an important thing I should say here, that is not everyone will do this simply because they are NOT the type of people to make the most from it.

Those who do appreciate it will know how much it will help them.
They will still be surprised at how effective yet simple it is.
I know it works because it was been a BIG part of why I am the way I am

I know that without this I would have a very different life to what I have now, it would be far far worse if I never had benefited from this, I can guarantee that!

I can attribute that very fact I can talk to this one tip!

So...will it help you?

I am sure once you are aware of how much a difference it can make you will be glad I told you and gave you the opportunity to benefit from it.
So, am I going to tell you or not?

Of course, but don't underestimate it.

The one key you need is focus, yet it's not the actual focus that makes this work, and work so well.
It's more than that, it's something unique, take a look for yourself, simply go to FOCUS!

It IS limited...so check it out fast!

Take care,
