Make money online from one of these 95 niches

money money money!

Back to the positiveness of the normal type, ;)

As rightly pointed out in a recent comment, I am trying, as many of you are, to make this blogging lark pay, that is create an income that makes it more than just fun, blogging is fun!

Where best to start thinking about where it’s possible to make money online?

Niches?!

Yet…

Recently someone emailed me saying they felt it was hard to think of niches, which kind of surprised me but I could also relate to it, seeing as we all consider it at one time or another.

Though it doesn’t have to be so hard when you think about how you get to any niche and how far you really drill it down.

Consider this as a basic truth, all niches derive from just 7.

Now that may seem an odd and surprising thing to say but think about it and it makes sense when you realise what those 7 things are…

The seven sins!

Think about it, every niche or topic or such comes under one of them when you drill it down far enough. Am I right? ;)

Let’s get some niche ideas down and see what you can do with them or add to them, drill them down further… I am positive you can do something with this list!

Thought so…

It’s no harder than going to a newsagent or magazine store and browsing, what’s more these are topics that people SPEND money on…

Your job is to simply get between the buyers and the sellers!

That is what being an affiliate is all about. ;)

What do you think?

Are there enough niche topics to think about here, 95!?

EDIT to add : Wonder what I did to get these? Use This system.

You make a great point that I had never thought about. Niches can all derive from the 7 deadly sins! HA!

At the moment I am going through a lot of thinking in what niche to pursue and promote on my site and think I finally settled on one. I imagine that everyone goes through this though. I think I am relatively knowledgeable on a lot of topics, but which one am I most passionate about and can write about regularly.

That to me is the ultimate question.

Well, I guess they do, when we consider all that comes under them. ;)

Glad to see you found a niche, what other derivatives can you make from it?

IE… If it’s fishing, can you go with sea fishing, river fishing, etc… you know what I mean, keep a good eye on any longtail keywords people use to find your site, then utilise them ;)

Best of luck with that though eh. ;)

  2. :) You hit it right on the nail. Niches are as easy as picking up the phone book and randomly flipping to a page. What are people looking for? What are they shopping for? Good points!

That’s why I added in Wedding Topics to my blogs last year. Along with Guides and Repairs.

This really is a great list. It could go on and on, but it makes you stop and really consider things. Look around.

I still find the best niches are the ones that we are doing. Like our hobbies, what we buy, what we like. Those are things that will keep our interests for the long haul.

I like your attitude. In it to win it! :) Happy Good Friday!

    Hi Rob, great list.

Another approach to identifying a niche is where you can get hold of content and creatives to easily build a static site rather than spending a lot of time blogging on the subject.

Some affiliate programs provide mini-site templates, text for emails and graphics etc. whereas others only give you an affiliate ID.

Getting started may be the hardest part for many people.

Hi Rob, it’s great to be here, my list of blog favorites needs a make-over to add more active blogs like yours.

I guess it is easy to set a static home page for a blog and drip feed content to build the site up gradually.

p.s. I entered the wrong Twitter name, it should be awilkes rather than a bored school student LOL. So I updated it.

I meant to comment the first time I saw this post but got sidetracked with the baby and all.

Anyways, GREAT LIST, Rob! I got interested in Scrapbooking lately and I didn’t expect it was such a big industry. There’s stuff like papers, cutters, adhesives, trimmers, inks… and the list goes on, that a scrapbooker needs to buy before crafting. It’s mostly women who’s interested in these things and almost all of them have blogs, so it’s also a big community. And you know women, we can’t seem to resist cute stuff on sale even if we don’t need them and there are lots of cute stuff on sale on every scrapbooking stores, online and not. LOL.

    Hi Mitch,

    Thanks.

Sounds like a good niche to be in, with plenty of angles to approach it too, go wide or deep? ;)

Yeah people forget all too easy how much is really in the niches like that, you know, they buy stuff.

And each of these niches could be narrowed down, I’m sure.

I’m mulling over how to niche down at the moment, which is why I ended up here, coming in from our CommentLuv exchange last Spring.
