Hi Gail

I will have to edit this to add the new plug in and remover the askimet mention too... ;)
I mean just using two keyword phrases... some people get out of hand with it and it doesn't actually help them either.

Far better to be consistent with a couple that matter. I think so anyway.
I don't mind if people use a three word phrase... but would rather they use just TWO phrases in total.
Hope that helps? :)

I don't mind you using those you mentioned here. ;)

Hi Rob,

Every time I comment here I ponder the meaning of your comment policy section starting with "You can use a total of two keywords..."

Could you please clarify that for me? Are you saying you want us to remember to use two phrases no longer than two words each in each blog?

I am honestly unsure what phrases I may have used here it the past. I often change what I use to best fit the post I'm commenting in - and do my best to remember which few blogs prohibit three words as keywords.

The reason that matters is I sometimes use "Bloggers Supporting Bloggers" or "Support Small Businesses" and I always try to remember not to use those here.

Rob,

Solid comment policy you have here. I just had a thought that might help.

The people who are going to take the time to read all the way through that are probably not going to try to spam you anyways. Those of us who have read through it are smart enough or experienced enough to know better anyways. You might want to edit your comments.php file in your theme so that it warns people not to abuse it. If you don't have the warning right next to the comment box, the comment droppers will not see it. Then you end up with more spam than you otherwise might. Just a thought though.

And for the record I really appreciate people like you who still allow their high value blogs to be dofollow.

This is just a comment to explain a few things said above in the comments... by way of an example.

I have added the keyword phrase to my name above, "portland bill" which is the anchored keyworded link, now I will also use the commentluv below and choose a post from the drop down that is from the "portland bill" blog I have.

Hopefully this shows how it sets itself up, but do NOT abuse it.
