Great post Rob and sad to say I was one of those getting sucked into making large amounts of money years ago. I am glad to see that people like your friends are putting some good products out there for people, that is certainly refreshing. And I must agree with Kathy those forum sigs crack me up.

Thanks, well, I did have to make a couple of adjustments but all in all I like it.

It seems to work with alot of the plug ins ok too, not that I have many but the ones that count work… happy dayz!

Rob,

Solid comment policy you have here. I just had a thought that might help.

The people who are going to take the time to read all the way through that are probably not going to try to spam you anyways. Those of us who have read through it are smart enough or experienced enough to know better anyways. You might want to edit your comments.php file in your theme so that it warns people not to abuse it. If you don’t have the warning right next to the comment box, the comment droppers will not see it. Then you end up with more spam than you otherwise might. Just a thought though.

And for the record I really appreciate people like you who still allow their high value blogs to be dofollow.

I have to laugh as well when I seen those kind of forum questions, people even have “make £2000 overnight” crap in their sigs, while asking how to make money online, fast, as they are “broke” … lol, what a joke…
