I jest … for a change! Maybe not…

How many times have you seen the hyped up crap offers you see out there, you know, “make blah blah blah in such a time doing next to nothing while sitting on a beach somewhere” style, or “this one secret will make you rich, buy my shit for blah blah, by midnight, only 100 copies” crap … yeah, lot’s, me too.

A friend just asked me a similar thing, pointing to a site selling something (and nothing if you get my drift) and saying “hype isn’t it? Can’t be true, sounds too good to be, as they say, it’s a big problem all this hype out there, that’s just shit on a screen” (good quip that, it’s a truth! ) SHIT on a SCREEN … most of the time!

The problem in my view is not that there’s just too much hype out there, the problem is also …

… that people believe it all too easy, all too often.

Obviously my friend didn’t, nor do most if not all of you.

But millions do, sadly and that is the real problem, this hype works in many cases, it must do, yet, it’s all relative.

So, who really is to blame?

The owner of the crap selling the dream?

The copywriter for all that hype?

The people who buy it?

Someone else?

So many variables and it depends on each case itself, it’s hard to apportion blame to anyone really as it’s a bit of all.

Use your own bullshit radar, trust ya guts, that’s usually right.

You mark your line

Where are the lines and were they crossed? For all of us the lines are somewhat different.

For us collectively the lines are the law. End of, if it’s blatantly illegal it’s obviously wrong?!

Don’t you agree?

Me too,  and there is a small R2D2 lookalike out there exposing alot of it. Funny to see those who those have had any connections to the syndicate running to sever ties… which in any sense is ironic because it is, in reality, 80% of those in the “Internet marketing” niche… in some form or shape who have had some connection along the way, wrote a post, or maybe promoted their crap, whatever.

But I got ripped off already!

So, someone crossed your line and ripped you off, and you want to blame someone… who?

You have to take some of it, for falling for it, if it sounded too good to be true, you should know it probably is, by now. If you were truly ripped off in an illegal way… get advice!

So, what should you do then?

Good question… (first thing is ignore that groups crap! Never subscribe to their crap emails either) Just stop buying hyped crap and save money for time-savers and tools!

Still up to it? Ok …

Realise a few truths first …

1, It’s a learning curve whatever happens, often a steep one too, depending on where you are, what you know, what you need to learn and know.

2, It’s never easy for anyone and there are NO magic bullets, whatever anyone says, you could buy your way into a head-start … but you then got a whole new dimension of shit to learn, deal with.

3, The key thing is it’s all TOOLS. This whole bloody net is one fat, useful tool, use tools to do something useful, teach you something that saves time,  and make sure that something is part of a plan, something comes out of it of value to you, the best tool of all is your brain! Use it well.

4, There’s WORK involved, lot’s of it too … end of!

No work, no rewards

There is no way you will ever have a push-button-money-flows-in system from day one, never!

The most obvious and common advice seems to always be DO something you enjoy, love, have knowledge of.

It stands to reason if you want to do something online, you are gonna have to do it for long enough to see some sort of result, so a good place to start is always something you know you won’t bore of, get frustrated with, have a lack of energy for.

Follow through until you get that result, stopping and jumping from thing to another won’t help but it IS a very common thing, we have all done it!

In any case even if it bombs worse than you thought it would, you will learn ALOT… believe me.

Too easy to change direction, and it’s only worth it when you know the results will justify the efforts better, IE you stumble on a really good niche with a gap there for you to use. They are out there but damn, they are getting hard to find …

Things change, as always

Now things will either get alot harder, or alot easier depending on where you are in relation to experience, what you do, where you do it and how.

The fact the web is full of spam means two things, one, google has no foolproof way of determing what is and is not spam, Aaron of SEObook has it all summed up well on his blog,  the explanations of content farms and whatnot, two, people will use google less if it stays as it is.

Google have some serious cleaning up to do, but just bitches about bing at the moment, shame, Aaron is one to listen too when it comes to SEO and such.

Maybe bing are onto something.

But overall, the whole thing about making money online with what you do hinges on search traffic, most of the time, because social traffic is shit, UNLESS it’s actually aimed at being virally spread… then it can be worth it.

Generally it’s the search results that get you BUYING traffic.

Basic SEO is still needed

The first thing to realise is that you are aiming to deliver what a searcher is looking for!

Following googles own advice helps, but doing what THEY do is also a good idea, after all, it can’t be ok for them and not you.

Googles own basic search tips, is a pretty good start to get to grips with how people really use it, there are many search parameters, variations, yet most “search users” don’t have a clue so they don’t use them in these ways. Still, worth learning and using yourself.

(Long tail keyword, that is, a search term of say four or five, six words. IE. “simple homemade English cake recipes” …

Long tail does matter and maybe it will matter more in future, maybe not, more importantly I think is deciding the niche and short tail terms you aim for, so much competition out there makes it important, it’s far too easy to be hit with a massive wall of more experience and established content and competition out there.

Like… “English cakes” is gonna be a hard short tail

Keep it as simple as possible.

Interesting thing to do, if you really want to jump into this silly goldfish bowl of crap, is to go see a friend who has no real idea how any site makes money online, and get them to use google or bing, whatever they use and watch what they do, and how they do it.

Might surprise you!

Solid pillar content will always win out

No matter what you do, write as solidly as you can and make each bit you do worth writing, and more importantly for visitors … reading. Build up on that by always giving value out, give them what they want to read and what they are more likely to share, and act on, ie buy from!

IE, using the simple English cake recipes example, you could have a blog with solid easy to follow instructions, even a video, anyone who finds it easy enough to follow will do so, they can stop searching, make your post complete, all they need to know and on the bottom of each post have a link to buy your nice recipe video ebook, which has ALL of your post and more you could add, just for the buyers.

Think they would be happy to buy? They have already seen what you deliver and how.

But some say it’s not a good idea to just give great content out, you gotta get an action from it everytime, I agree to a point, but you can’t expect that…

Even if alot of people don’t buy your stuff, the thing is your GREAT content will still be worth reading in a years time… people will share it, which also leads to future sales, and all the while you rank higher and higher in the SEngines.

Don’t give up

Probably the biggest thing once you get the hardest part over with, that is starting up… keeping on keeping on can be hard at times but you have to persevere, else it’s all somewhat wasted effort, usually people say “people give up one step from success” … and it’s probably true in many cases.

If you really feel worn out, or bored, or just sick of it, step away for a while, give yourself a breather, and just continue with promoting your content just to keep it rolling.

If you have solid content, it will revitalise you when you get back to it, and see what efforts you have already put in, and if it’s all working, great.

Simply get back into the groove and do more, or work at ways to make better use of the content you already have, new ideas to expand on things etc.

Just giving up won’t help.  :(

Amazingly I saw what was a great solid content blog with tons of traffic and a G PRank of 6 vanish… nothing there but an auction page to sell the domain! … wow, just wow!

Crazy, they should have sold the whole blog as it was and banked coin, rather than just stop, give up, although I don’t know the circumstances of it, it seems odd to say the least.

Branding, building to sell

Branding is what seems to be the thing now, a better idea to have a brand name or keyworded domain than to have say… a name, like mine because you can if you get fed up, just sell the whole thing as a business.

So, using the English cake example, a bad move would be janesenglishcakes .com for example. (broken so not live links!)

Far better would be some sort of branding that anyone could be proud of, unless you are selling the site to a Jane!

SimpleEnglishRecipes .com for example would work better and be a much better selling point for any new owner.

A good long term idea but it’s not limiting you to long term efforts, you could work solidly for a year on that and when it’s making a “livable wage” each month, sell the whole thing for a large sum, so if it was £1000 a month, you may decide to sell for 8 grand.

Just an example, but it means you got a 8 months pay for nothing!

People do this, they create a money making site as fast as possible then sell it on for a bigger lump, rinse repeat.

On the other hand you may decide to jump straight in with an established site and buy one from someone and just build upon it.

The other way is to become the expert to go to in whatever niche you are in.

Maybe you are already an expert in something?

Take it seriously

The one thing we’ve all done is fail to take it seriously at some point in time, how can we expect great results if we don’t take it seriously?

If the person with the “English cake recipe” site is not professional and doesn’t take it seriously, how will any reader take them seriously?

Thanks to (Mark @) Box.net for that fantastic news, I had a few mates say… “it’s a scam” but I laughed, can’t see that myself, after all, why would those smart buggers at box.net shoot themselves in the foot like that?

A Samsung galaxy tab

I am looking forward to getting this prize and seeing what I can do with it, I do have a few ideas and also what I said in the tweet that won it, as seen in the tweet you see here… one other thing I can enjoy is ebooks, as good as a kindle really, (like kindles? look at the sidebar!) >> – as you can do more with it, I read alot, so this will be great at times when I am not doing anything, on the bus for example.

So, once I have it…

… I will do a review of it here, and depending on the set up, IE I imagine (fingers crossed) I get a box.net account loaded onto it too, which will be great for the all important files I can share with it, photos etc I can then do a double review… one of the product and one of what is loaded on there I find useful.

I have the free box.net account already I am sure.  I will share my experience with box.net’s great tools, I think it’s something I should have used before really but never had the chance to dive into it, that will change.

Box.net ?

What is Box.net? A file storage and sharing set up, it could even be used for FTP, which is what you use to upload files to a website etc.  Ideal for the blogs if needed.

Cloud storage as it’s called, IE nothing needs to be stored on your pc / lappy, which means you can access it on ANY device you use, a friends lappy for example, just log in and use, one good thing is you can use it for big files, sometimes files can be to big for email say, so you upload it to Box.net and share the link, ideal.

Obviously there are limits with the free accounts, which is worth having, but should you need more, or unlimited even then that is possible.

Android

Hearing good things about android and the many apps it has, I can utilise my google account on that so that will be handy, I am sure my amazing youngest son will also enjoy playing any games he finds on that, he just got a samsung android phone for his birthday, so I’m sure he already has a few in mind, to be honest when I saw that tweet, I thought it was a phone, so to see what the tab really was just excited me more.  A double woot if ya like!

Seems google updated the PR (Google page rank) across sites and my main two here and the Portland Bill blog have been dropped a place, largely due to me not being so active the last two months or so, rather than anything else, no biggie, it will go back up soon enough but PR is largely irellevant if you don’t regularly add content, as it’s content that gets readers, not PR.

By the way, a few people mentioned they wanted updates as they happen, best way is to subscribe using RSS and the icon is on the top right of the sidebar >> over there.

People come for content, not to see what ya PR is and that is what counts.

If you have been effected, just don’t panic and worry over it, who cares really? If google are doing what they say they are, cleaning up the sewers as splork (of lost ball in high weeds) calls it, then I am sure many of the crappy sites that were hindering yours, mine whatever are being dumped so to speak, so if anything we gain in some respects. Not all negative this shit you know.

The main thing being the content being unique itself, that’s not a problem here or on my other blogs as I do write it all myself, that will always be a good thing.

Had a shitty few months I have, mind you the last two or three weeks were just crap, so it can only get better from here, can’t it?

Plenty of crap pissing me off at the moment but can’t do much other than roll with it. One thing is there are a few people who have pushed me a little too far and they will regret that, assholes.

So, at least I am now back online having had to get a new connection, not great timing but that’s sods law!

Damn, been a while since I posted, been a while since I did anything, lazy bugger eh… I have to say some of the comments that were left in pending were pathetic… sorry but no, I won’t be adding ya crappy one liners with some shitty link, though I have to say not one spam bot, due to the great antispam plug in… it works a treat!

I had that hearing test (see last post) and yep, got worse, in fact I have lost hearing completely in some frequency range… ie, some high pitched sounds have vanished, will never hear certain things again… at least it’s quieter!

What a crazy world… one thing is for sure, 2011 is going to be an interesting year, we will be seeing some strange stuff, which as we know is already happening.

Listening to the “experts” regarding all the strange goings on in the world is just comical… all the animals dying suddenly, being blamed on stupid things like “eating to much” or “fireworks” or “drinking too much water” … do they really think we are that stupid?

They must do!!

Experts and scientist are full of shit and always have been. . . like they are about “the big bang” what a load of bollox, just theories that are as good as the amount of sheeple to believe it…  The big bang… um, where was that when it happened?

Sorry? In the middle of nothing, um, nothing can’t exist without something, just as something can’t exist without nothing… prove me wrong!

Anyway … all these odd things happening in the world at the moment, such alot in so few weeks that the scientist are baffled but they don’t like to admit that because they are “supposed” to be smarter than everyone else, which itself is bollox, they are biased, always were and always will be.

Religious nuts are also baffled but saying it is gods revenge … ok, did god tell you that?

Religion is fairy tales imo.

I don’t know what the hell is going on, maybe the mayans were right… not the end of the world but it’s the end of an age.

Time is speeding up but not in the sense we see time, it’s creation that’s speeded up, we are creating such alot in such short time-frames it’s hard to ignore it, it isn’t anything to do with time speeds up as we get older anyway, I have heard teens say “is time speeding up or something?” … You never heard that sort of thing from teens in the 80′s or 90′s.

Maybe it is the fact the poles are shifting, and they are, look at the moon too, it’s not looking the same as it was, the man is wonky… seems alot of scientist ie know-it-alls will be wearing egg on their faces this year, telling everyone that we are silly to believe things like that, yet they expect us to take their word as gospel, yeah right… of course you can’t be wrong because you have some qualifications and your fellow know-it-alls agree with you.  :rolls eyes:

Fear, the powers that be’s biggest tool, the only way the few can manipulate and control the many, yet they say non of this is happening because they don’t want people to “panic” ?? Hypocrites, but, does that mean this IS something going on?

I wonder if much of what is happening is man made, ie weapons, HAARP, bluebeam, whatever. Maybe not all of it but maybe they did one thing and that let the genie out of the bottle.

One thing we all know for sure is it’s getting hard to ignore the things that are going on around us, it’s hardly isolated cases is it, several places in the world are seeing odd stuff.

Hoping friends I have are all ok down under where floods have raged big time, sad to see so much destruction and lives ruined.

Anyway, gonna be back to writing stuff again as I have slacked something rotten over the last few months, just not had my head in the right frame to do anything really, getting used to the hearing issues I have had, though I accept it won’t get any better I just gotta get on with it and cope, plenty of people worse off than me out there.

Shitty ears, aka being deaf…

Well, it could always be worse. It does have it’s plus points too.

For me things are getting worse, sadly, been a crappy few weeks really which explains my lack of being busy anywhere… as friends have noticed.

Seems my ears are getting a bit worse, having dropped a bit the last 5 or 6 weeks, the problem is I have less hearing to lose, so I have more to lose if that makes sense?

I know my friend Serena will berate me, saying “sign of getting old” … I hear ya Serena! … pardon the pun!

It probably IS age related. Oh well. I’ll get by, always have.

But for the first time …

I am at the stage where I am in need of help in some cases, it’s got to the point I can’t hear the damn doorbell at times.

I never been one to let my crap ears beat me, as anyone who knows me knows, I have never been out the the “hearing world”, that IS my world, I grew up just like anyone else, getting on with it and I felt no different in many senses than any of my mates.

I insisted on talking using my mouth and not my hands!

Nothing wrong with signing, it was just something I never did and right from an early age I just “fitted in” you could say … I made it clear at 5 years old where I stood.

Lip-reading and talking was just swell for me.

The “deaf world” as they call it was never part of my world, I was never part of theirs. Just the way it was, is.

My mum just let me get on and she did the right thing too in my mind, she has always wanted me to be just like anyone else and getting on with it, being “normal” in a sense…. thanks mum!

Neither good nor bad, just how life has been for me, mum never joined me up to RNID or anything like that so I never really saw deaf people or their world.

Being part of an island community no doubt helped, the fact we have ONE senior school meant everyone knew me and I knew everyone else and we all knew what the crack was … the ears never really came into it, only the few idiots made it anything.

But … with age comes it’s own issues!

Rewinding back to when I was 25, I woke up one morning and slapped the hearing aid in, on … nothing!

WTF! … scared me big time, I was sharing a house in north Dorset with a friend and working in Yeovil at the time, so anyway, I told my mate and then set off for work, driving in silence was eerie!

Getting to work and not hearing the yards normal noises hit it home for me… I told my boss and left to go to get checked out at the ENT (ear, nose, throat) dept of the hospital …

I was never the same after that.

I had scans and tests at the Southampton university for weeks on end… my hearing had permanently dropped some, and I just had to get used to what it was…

Funnily enough, when I had the brain and ear scan I fell asleep in that bloody great noisy scanning machine they have at hospitals… the guy told me it had never happened before… sigh, it was so quiet and I had to be so still.

Nothing was found wrong with me (stop sniggering at the back!) and the path seemed to be leading to having a cochlea implant …

I decided not to in the end, guessing correctly that hearing aids would improve, three years later I got digital ones. Also at the time of considering it, there were little kids behind me in the waiting list and I felt my chance would be better given to one of them.

My hearing had dropped alot, from that morning of nothing some gradually come back over the months, but never at the same level again. Music changed forever.

Now, it’s happened again… got a hearing test in December… not that I need it myself to know what the reality is, it’s mainly to assess the drop.

Shit times!

Could be worse though!

Always someone who got it worse out there.

But the lack of real support in many cases out there for deaf is shocking. Of all the sense losses and disabilities we seem to be pretty low down on the support list.

I have been in touch with RNID but you know you gotta pay to be a member?

That’s not right in my view, and it’s just my view, it should be free!

Anyway, that’s how things lie with me at the moment, been a crap few weeks and not looking great in the long term considering it gets worse with age.

See what happens, nothing is gonna be the way it was.

So, that’s partly why I have been quiet lately, just not been up to any of this.

As one put it, “it’s a glorified membership site” … ie, a platform for people to build a membership site, business on, or several depending on how much you are willing to waste on them. They host the lot. Sod that!

More importantly…

I gotta ask :- is anyone silly enough to hand over their data and site, business over to Andy Jenkins, with his record… ??

And pay him monthly to have it? Bloody well hope not, certainly not at them prices either. Plus they will no doubt bring out some fake scarcity crap too, which will panic many into paying up earlier, then they are suckered into building a site, business on someone like Jenkins server?! Crazy, don’t fall for that shit.

Even more so because…

When , not if, when you stop paying you LOSE it all? WTF?! No backing up of anything for you, just cancel and bosh, gone… oh you can bet your ass HE will have backed all your hard work up, for himself.

But, try it, free!!

Two week trials, no thanks, two weeks work and then you think, not for me, bosh, oops, where did that two weeks work go?

Next thing you know, someone else is banging out what was your research, data, whatnot, but that’s not legal, ok, well, fiddle a little bit of this, that the other… who’s to know?

Maybe they won’t, maybe they are all gonna do a great job and whatever, I don’t know, but I don’t trust him, so all I have is my opinion, all I need isn’t it?

I mean, this is nothing you can’t do in a different way for a lot less money, is it?

Maybe I’m wrong, often am, but I say the best thing is to NOT BOTHER…

I do care and I think people should know about this …

I was into it one time, not selling crap, just interested and learning things, but for the last few years it’s made me gag… once this clean up starts taking hold it will be a more appealing niche again.

This Internet marketing (IM) niche really is starting to get interesting… the crap is hitting the fan for those scammers among the niche, don’t get me wrong, not all Internet marketers are scammers, not by a long shot but the scammers ARE getting found out and to many of us it’s always been obvious who the scammers were.

There’s always been good and bad people in every niche, nothing new there, online this niche is one where it stands out, much as it does in the self help one with all their kum-by-yah shitty mumbo jumbo, but what is surprising to those who know nothing about the IM niche, is when they stumble on it and (IF they do their due diligence, keeping money in pockets for now) see the scale of the “success” these baduns suppossedly have… the badduns brag about it often enough!! With the fake pictures and their crappy “pals” testimonials!

So, these people look around then see just how deep the rabbit hole is and who is connected to who, where they hang out and how they do their shit! It’s a jerkfest! And they are supposedly getting rich off it!

Well actually…

No, they aren’t!!

They are liars, they are relying on launches like people rely on wage packets!  The problem is they ruin lives and rip people off, think about it for a minute…

Internet marketing launches equal wages

Yes, they may make some money from promoting their buddies crap, but nothing like the claims they make, think about it, IF they were really making the millions they say, why the fuck do they need to promote more crap constantly?

Because they are breaking even with a wage?

They are continuously feeding more and more gullible newbies into their lists trap in order to pimp crap to them… because they know anyone with any knowledge, or sense, would avoid them, I’d like to give some credit to the masses and say a huge portion of those that get “trapped” will not fall for it… so it’s a small minority, hence them having huge list numbers, they need it to get the few gullible ones…

Then continuously keep feeding those list…

They say their list(s) are important, after all, they can keep flogging shit to them yet they do the worse emails out there, not a clue, just a pitchfest galore, upsells, cross-sells, downsells and whatever damn sale they can get out of you… bollox to fleece the most gullible of money!

Yet, they must suck at that, else they wouldn’t need to keep doing the same shit over and over again without a thought for who they are hurting, ripping off. Let’s face it, most people waste money on this shit.

Avoid 99% of Internet Marketers lists

One thing is to NEVER get on any of their list, it’s crap plus bloody hard to get off them again.. not to mention they sell your email out… even though they say they don’t.

Get onto 100 lists and you will see they all promote the same crap over and over, cross promotions galore… so best to avoid ALL of that and ignore 99% of them.

Most have no idea how to do what they say they do, they are the ultimate “fake it till ya make it” bunch, still faking it most of them…

What they say and do is often polar opposites, so it’s pretty obvious when you look for it.

And I bet the list they have gives a really shit return, only fanboys fall for their crap, you will find the same people comenting on their blogs… asskissing idiots!

It’s not just their blogs…

The Internet marketers old boys club

Yes, they had some craphole called the warrior forum to hang out in too, their old boys club where they could fleece the sheeple… you can’t separate the two in my mind, I don’t give a toss what any of the so called “warriors” say… I was there when all this crap started out really, it may NOT (don’t know, don’t look at the shithole!) be as bad now as it was… but it is still happening I bet!

Thankfully I could see through them and they have never had a penny of mine, or anyone I know who has sense!

No, not all of them were bad.

I tell you this, the best people in that place were the ones who never sold anything… that leaves very few! Work it out… most have left though!  Put it this way, I only trusted maybe 4 people in that place and no, I won’t name them, they are good friends and honest decent people.

Back to the scammers and their mess…

These scammers don’t have any respect for anyone, not even their gullible sheeple “customers” … nor the law half the time!

I say… Gullible because they bought into a fake dream, these ARE the target market of these scammers after all, dream chasers!

But these “gullible ones” and even not so gullible people are starting to rant in places, on their own blogs, on comments on other blogs, all because that hang out censors shit. Aye, you can’t slam any of these in the syndicate, or gurus, or anyone else who rips people off on the “warrior” playground, do that and get nuked.

I won’t link to that craphole, that’s cruel, like leading mice to a den of cats!

Cats that you can’t complain about there if you get caught, they protect their own, after all it is the old boys club.

So, the ones getting hurt are actively going out there and writing about it, complaining, sharing in comments on blogs, because they are not afraid anymore…

The cartel are losing influence and cannot hide

Yes, many were afraid of what would happen to them, after all, they were in the same niche. They were worried about the big guys making it harder for them… but …

They can’t hide crap now like they could 5 years ago, they don’t have the influence to “crush” people who dared question them or complain, like they used to say and do… oh yes, these bastards would ruin your reputation and use their list of gullible idiots to slam you, they would call you a “loser”… they sill do. Except now, they realise they are in fact the losers, and people are waking up, and ranting about it … at last! *sigh, take ya time eh people.

Now their fucking-furious-back-peddling starts…

That is the ones who in some way are connected to these scammers are crapping it and starting to try and distance themselves, that’s gonna be hard considering how many affiliates and such these scammers have conned into becoming affailites, plus the plain greedy ones who just promoted their crap without a thought for those who may buy it… sad shit, they will all have a job on their hands trying to look “clean”!!

It’s getting so lame that some of the so called big names are trying to manipulate how they look, failing badly I must say… let’s face it, “big name” you either promoted their crap, or they promoted yours, or used your crap to help their “launch” or you used theirs to help yours… either way, you are connected, no matter how you try to “address” it in your shitty blog, newsletter… it’s a deed done that can’t be UNdone!

Tough shit! Should have thought about that a long time ago! Greed glands got the better of you…

The robot will rule, with your help too

That’s the gurus, big names, B tier affiliates, and launchers of crap… all absolutely crapping themselves… All mainly due to an R2D2 lookalike, one with the legal nous and the information to blow the whole scammers situation wide open … Creating the shit storm in the niche. Some profanity on that, but the message matters!

What we can’t do is leave it all up to a bloody R2D2 robot to make it known to people that these scammers need avoiding, exposing, so DO check out the “cloud” of names on that blog and avoid them all!

What you can do is link to that blog with some anchored keyword and help him rank for those keywords, IE, rank for the scammers names… this will piss the scammers of, being outranked by a pissed off R2D2 lookalike who is revealing the truth about them under their own name. Or even d-bags which is what they are.

You know, link to what appals you, there is enough of the scammers telling you with their own words on that site, help get them ruined like they like to ruin others. Maybe with enough juice going and people making it known the law will have to take notice somewhere.

Even Tony Robbins is getting involved! This is someone that’s just been given a platform on TV in the USA I believe?

Never bought his crap, so no idea what it is like, mumbo jumbo I expect, but for him to get involved with these scammers is saying something, whatever happens, he has stepped into it.

They are reaping what they sowed

It’s getting funny, you really couldn’t make this crap up, but it is about time these scammers were properly dealt with where appropriate, by law and for them to do so takes them being aware of it, there is a simple reason non of these scammers will “sue” anyone, more so that R2D2 looking droid (a lawyer!) …  for  a start the scammers know it’s all true, they say it in their own words… plus they know if they sue someone, that someone is going to get some seriously damaging info about the scammers… IF they get a decent lawyer… and the law is just involved.

They don’t want the law involved at all by the sounds of it.

I’d ask the droid if he would be mine for free… I’d bet he would oblige, rubbing his metal palms in glee at the case.

Internet marketing needs cleaning up of this crap… the sooner the better, social media is helping, people, meaning the scammers perfect “target market” are in a better position to find out answers before committing to anything, and the bad crap does get talked about out there… alot more than the scammers would like…

That’s your role if you haven’t got a blog to write about it, if you ever fell for buying their crap and lost money, then go spread this post, or that robots post, or anyone sharing the truth out there, Ryan Healy has written a few things too, he has a good blog there by the way.

One thing I noticed is Ryan linked to some lawyers blog who allows a scammer to “defend” himself… and you know what, his little favicon in the browser is a Pyramid… very telling!!

It’s worth noting that even though on a few of them post on the robots blog there are 100′s of comments, (yes really) many are saying alot too, it is making people come forward and speak up.

These scammers need to be hit hard where it hurts, like they hurt others. Those fanboys, don’t bother telling me I am a “hater” or “loser” … I don’t hate them, just what they do and how they do it and I’m not a loser simply because I don’t do this evil shit they do…

So, if you been conned or know of some proof of these scammers conning people, share it, if not, just make sure you and your credit card avoid them all.

wtf?

Browsing yesterday I thought I’d go check out the gobby, witty and amusing brit on Techcrunch… aka Paul Carr and thought the fastest way would be to click the “staff” link which is at the bottom of the site… up popped this!!

Not quite what I expected from the so called “biggest tech blog” out there, techcrunch is bad for your interwebz lol… I am not linking to the site itself … for obvious reasons!

Well, it also say’s on there what site is hosting it … if they see this post… don’t attack me, chrome showed me this! Go tell the big G!

Glad chrome spots this sort of thing and stops you before you get hit.

Looking forward to seeing their OS come out, which should be soon-ish.

On a serious note, it shows how any site can be effected in a nasty way. Shame.

What a crap few weeks! Been quiet here due to sorting out other things, offline and online (like I mentioned in the last post) which set me back a bit but hey ho, no harm done…

But I got bloody man flu now too which is making me feel like shit in general, ah well, life ain’t meant to be all plain sailing, but being ill sucks, thankfully I am now on the tail end of it.

Still, a break can be good for many reasons, funnily enough I noticed a few interesting things that you might like to know, might not, but anyway, I thought I’d share a few things… at least get a bloody post up and get back into my rhythm again.

For one thing I get NO SPAM comments anymore…  Aye, a good thing, it’s freed up some time to do other stuff for sure… and I’ll share about that too.

It might help you, might not, I’m sharing anyway…

No posting does not mean no traffic, more so when using commentluv

It’s good to see the traffic still coming here daily, shows that the work and effort put in over the months is always worth it in the long run and interesting to note that much of the traffic is through commentluv links on comments left elsewhere, something else to note, it’s the better comments left that get the biggest hits…  whodathunkit!?

Another thing about it is blog post titles matter… a good reason for it’s (commentluv) success is the fact it changes the whole concept of comments adding to a conversation, whatever the said blog and comments conversation is.

The old way was just a link in the name field to our main url, (as it still is) and the comment alone was the only added benefit to both sides but now with commentluv allowing you to have specific post (which is also keyworded, ie related, if you done it right) linked to after adding the good comment as well as the main url in the name field, it’s easy to add another dimension to the post comments conversation, IE, leaving a link related to the post itself is benefiting everyone, so you benefit others twice, once with the good comment, and once with a related link, and that link is much more likely to get clicked than a name field url… it’s more appealing for a start.

As these links vary as much as you vary them, you can have related links to several different post on several different blogs, depending on what you wrote about, and it means traffic is still coming regardless of whether I post or not, from several different places… stop posting and it doesn’t mean traffic dies, or course it will be less than if you do post, that’s just common sense and no-one needs to tell anyone that…

Commentluv allows you to have up to 10 of your post linked to, so you have enough to scatter within decent comments on decent blogs to keep the juice flowing.

I see people saying they MUST post daily to keep traffic and I think for myself it’s not true, only you know – if you test it.

Posting more often will increase traffic some I admit, but so would marketing the damn blog more without having to write daily… swings and roundabouts. And leaving good comments on blogs IS marketing.

Spam is not marketing, though it’s pushers are persistent!

Or… they were until they come up to more blogs (like mine!) with the great new antispam plug in which is working… a treat!

This antispam plug in (G.A.S.P) is created by the same person as the commentluv one, Andy Bailey. Though also brought about with Gail from growmap, who shared it with me.

No more spam, bye bye bots.

The one good thing about blogger was the sheer lack of spamming, but hey ho, wordpress is just too good to leave and go back to blogger (for now at least) ok… maybe for good, so it’s something wordpress users just have to deal with, combat, get pissed off over,  and things have just took a great leap forward with this new plug in I think.

You can see it’s set up below, having a tickable box which only humans can do, not bot’s means 99% of the spam crap is getting nowhere!

Now we can stop relying on askimet, – (even though it was and is a good plug in to use) – though I have yet to turn that off, I am seeing almost nothing of spam anyway, askimet was never perfect as Gail documents, it often wrongly labeled people as spammers, heck it’s happened to one commenter here on numerous occasions even though he had already posted good comments here several times before. He needs me to turn askimet off… I know Jason… I will.

WordPress users would do well to add this new antispam plug in to their armoury, seeing as it’s outperformed all the others I have tried so far. If anything it will just free up your time, time not wasted dealing with 100′s or more of spammy crap daily.

It’s also helped in removing the captcha code crap, which is easy to get wrong, or just play up… a ticked box is infinitely easier to deal with and better understood by everyone.

So, that’s a 10 out of 10, on the 10.10.10. to Andy for creating two fantastic plug ins that have massively benefited me as a wordpress user.
