That doesn’t look very inviting does it? πŸ˜† Hungry almost!Β  πŸ˜‰

Not going in there again!

Thursday we will be going back down to church ope, yeah, maybe we are crazy but we need to get some more photos so we can do comparisons to those taken last time we went there, with someone stood in the same place as the whatever it isΒ

So, we need someone to come with us now and …

Bite our nails and get on with it, as we will… πŸ˜‰

So anyone local fancy coming with us Thursday day time? Comment or contact me if so.

I am intrigued as to where that tunnel above lead to… Rufus castle? Penn castle? It seems Portland has loads of secret tunnels and passageways in places, I bet many are going from home to home down underhill, thinking back to days of smugglers and such.

Someone was more intrigued than I…

Doesn’t go in far so I am guessing it was all blocked off a long time ago.

This is situated just inside the entrance to the 13th century ruins on the right hand side before you go up the steps.Β  Be careful though! πŸ˜‰

Comparing some photos will just clear up some things, locals know that the steps are steeper than they look from the photos we have, we have been asked to get someone to stand where that thing was to compare sizes etc, understandable.

For example looking at that image, with the red ringed part, you can see that is at least 3 or 4 sets of steps below myself, yes the steps are bunches of 4 or 5. Not one.

Quite a way down.

The other one that was showing the whatever it was at the bottom of the steps near the 13th century ruins entrance is a long way down, as from the image to the unknowing person, the steps look like one each, but as we locals know, they are bunches so you are only seeing the top step of 4 or 5.

I will also get a photo looking up from the steps so you can all see what I mean. πŸ™‚

Looking at the image below you can see there are at least 8 or 9 just in this view, there are a few more between the bottom of this image and myself.Β

So, we need someone to stand where that anomaly is on the image above while I am where I am on the image too, taken from the same spot my friend took these. Compare sizes and see what we learn. πŸ™‚

Any volunteers? πŸ™‚ …
