Either to your RSS reader or by email, whichever suits you best is great with me. πŸ˜€

I am a little baffled as to why feedburner (RSS) doesn’t seem to work on mobiles, would have thought that a good move, as you know I recently changed this blog so it reads on mobiles like Iphones etc.

Ya know…

RSS would have been simpler to sort out, without a need for any extra, like a plug in etc, though it’s doing the job nicely, it’s still something else needing adding to the blog. πŸ™‚

No idea if that’s doable with RSS anyway, would need an experts opinion on that, like Dave Winer… the creator of it.

If and when that can happen I’ll just have to use what I got now, because I want those on mobiles to be able to read my drivel.. πŸ™‚

Time to step up a gear with that drivel! πŸ˜›

You will have already noticed I am posting more often, as many others have said posting daily in some way helped them, be it with improving their writing overall, or traffic from more activity, or other.

May be hard work, but with some persistence I will see how it goes.

It’s what goes here not the platform that gets results, though I have to say…

WordPress!
Blogger sucks! πŸ˜›

…get’s a thumbs up from me! πŸ˜†

A few things I’m still getting to grips with regarding WordPress but still, that’s great because I’m learning and that’s fun itself, one area I do need to learn more about is editing the code as it’s php not html like my old set up was.

The one thing I’d rather see though is within the editing part, a single page of ALL code together, like blogger used to have for me… even if was only for reference to how it goes together, again, no idea if possible but sure would help in the speed of learning.

I do want to make some changes to the layout etc, may even see what I can find theme wise if I can’t get this how I want it…

I’ll get there, even if it’s slowly… It will be surely. πŸ™‚

To be honest from what little I have grasp and tried, the sheerΒ adaptabilityΒ of php is an eye opener, it seems like less code than html for doing the same thing, that can’t be a bad thing to learn now eh. πŸ™‚

Overall, wordpress does the biz!

With the added benefits you readers get from things like…

commentluv! which gives you a backlink if you have a blog to link to and encourages comments I think I am on the right path, at least as to getting the blog the way I want it to be, not just working for me but for others like you too.

It’s all good. πŸ™‚

    PHP – Hypertext pre-processing, right?

There’s a fair number of back end technologies which are a lot better than PHP, but PHP has an early-mover advantage.

Django or Rails would actually be an even cleaner solution, but it’s way past the point where that could be done.

Will be interesting to see what the next generation of platforms looks like, and what they are built on.

And keep on with that daily posting. It really does help.

I will keep on posting daily, if I can, see how it goes.

a lot of people are saying that learning php is as easy as 1-2-3 (which I really think applies only to those who eat scripts for dinner). that very same line is also included in the introduction of “php for dummies ebook”, by the way i can email you my copy of that book if you want.

I’ve been reading it for a while now, just for the sake of customizing joomla modules and plugins. I’m still in noob-stage, but I hope not by the time I finish the book.

Anyway, it’s my first time being here, and I find your “daily post quest” pretty clever. I’ll be back soon to see what would the results be πŸ™‚ great great great and nice to meat you Rob.

      Hi Jason,

      Welcome to the blog. πŸ™‚

I don’t think PHP is as easy as that myself, yet. πŸ˜‰
My email is on the about page… πŸ˜€ Thanks!

Great to meet you too, thanks for the comment.

Learning PHP is not that easy you have to invest a lot of time if you want to do it properly.
