It’s certainly not as easy as many make out, yet it’s also not as hard as some make out.

I agree social media has it’s place and I will continue to utilise it, not just in the hope of it helping my income but also because it’s a good place to meet great people.

That argument on whether blogs should be monetised or not is stupid, if they are willing to put food on your table, then by all means let them whine, if not, they should shut it, let people get on with it.

That’s my view anyway, for what it’s worth.

I’ve been trying to monetize for several years now in anticipation of retirement – still working on it!

Social Media is important – Twitter, Facebook, social ning sites and forums. I gain new insight, and give advice to help others.

In the mommy blogger arena (of which I really don’t consider myself, perhaps only slightly, as I am primarily a work-at-home blog) there is much dissention whether monetizing a blog takes away from the authenticity. Another discussion entirely.
