So that was an interesting day with the Portland ghost hunt and I ended it with a walk on the beach as you can see. πŸ™‚

We had a few people say it was faked, I assure you it wasn’t. We had no idea till we got home and nothing was done to any of the images. At all. My friend who took those pictures showed a certain group on facebook … they want more proof, fair enough. πŸ˜‰

Then thing’s got weird …

Which is not unusual on Portland. πŸ˜‰

More ghostly photo bomb

Yep, we missed alot!

I published the post the same day almost immediately after I was warmed up enough (with a cuppa tea) to do so and then shared the post to facebook, it went a little viral among the locals, having around 270 hits yesterday alone, altogether nearly 400 people over the couple of days and I had a few interesting details and legends shared to me via messages and comments. Thanks for that.

If you have yet to see the original post and images please do read that now by clicking Portland ghost hunt, it will open in a new window so you wont lose this post here. πŸ˜‰

My friend was doing his own thing with all the validation of things etc and getting the pictures seen by those in that field, I’m not one of them so that’s ok. πŸ˜‰

Then really strangely within minutes of each other this morning, a good friend an ex neighbour messaged me saying her daughter was a bit freaked out by something I missed in the same photo. I could not see it myself… then…

Almost minutes later my friend who took the photos sent me another copy of theΒ  same picture highlighting what we had missed. . . uncanny that one is in the same spot my friends daughter saw it. Someone rather kindly drew a line around it this time so we can all see it.Β  πŸ˜‰

This image is the full size as I have it, so I can’t do much about that.

But you can clearly see that shadowy figure.

Is that a shadow of me?

Nope… the angle is all wrong and too far away and also the sun is directly to my right as I stand in that photo. As can be seen on the other post with the amazing sunrays over the sea that greeted us.

It looks nothing like my shadow would.

So who is that? πŸ™‚

Yeah, kinda freaked me out to realise another one was so close to me …

Yet …

That was not the only one!

Yeah, strangely enough there is something else in the same photo I and many others have missed. Make of it what you will, but I can clearly see it now I have been shown it. Again, this is the full size image I have.

Clearly within that red line there looks to be something sitting down looking directly at me! :O

Yeah, made me wonder… I couldn’t say I felt anything at that point, nothing good or bad or anything else, just cold and happy for my friend to take a few pictures, but I will never quite feel the same walking down there again, not scared, just aware.

A little more respect for the fact there are things out there. As long as they don’t harm me, I won’t harm them anyway so it’s all good. πŸ™‚

It has certainly got alot of people intrigued as well as myself.

What do you all make of these new images highlighting things you can see in the original images now you know where to look?

More proof gathering to do I think. We can do some new photos with comparable shots adding someone to the spot in the original image where that figure is near the bottom entrance to the ruins.

Some have said it was just a person, but I assure you I saw NO ONE on that beach or near the huts. At all. You couldn’t miss them! πŸ˜‰

So we can do that, also as another person is with us we can all take more photos and just see what we do get. πŸ™‚

So, what are your thoughts to these?

Please comment below, like and share too. Thanks.

Amazing. I certainly don’t need convincing that there are seemingly inexplicable things out there. You can’t destroy energy and I think these images are manifestations of that energy. You’re so lucky to have captured them on film ???

      Hey thanks Chris…

Yeah, it has certainly convinced me… I can’t not believe it considering I was there. πŸ™‚

      That’s true, energy only changes.
      Lucky indeed… very fortunate.

I will also be looking at other photos I take with a different eye now. πŸ˜‰

Hey, I’m one of the members of that other facebook group your friend posted to (The Fortean Times Appreciation) , in fact i’m the guy who drew those red lines around the image – the thing is i drew them around other things too, and did so to point them out within the discussion as examples of pareidolia (which is the tendency for the human mind to construct shapes and objects from random patterns) and NOT as proof of anything strange or unusual – while those are extreme possibilities they are not probabilities and before declaring them as such you need to go back and exclude other explanations – stand in the same spot and see if the “gnome” in the bush is still there for example., or that the “shadow” isnt in fact the shadow of the guy with the camera, or his reflection on the lens…for that matter that it was an illusion created by the gaps in the bush.

      Hi there,

Thanks for the highlights on images, that’s fine, as I never said they were proof of anything. πŸ˜‰
No one declared it as such either… I don’t need or have to do anything, with all due respect. I am just sharing my own experience of the day and what I got from it, and I share that with people. πŸ™‚

No offence. But it’s just a post, I am not a ghost hunter or anything of the sort, just was something we did, as the friend was interested in the place so I showed him and went along for the ride. All it is. πŸ™‚

My mate with the camera was up the steps about a further 20 feet.. as obviously seen by the images of me… and the sun was to my right… nothing could have interfered.

You didnt declare them as “Ghostly photobombs” then?
Did you also not say “More proof gathering to do I think”? – Seems to me that in saying that the implication is that those two images constitute “proof”…
…so why include just those two and not the one of the laughing cow,or any of the other ones i randomly made to show, as part of the ongoing conversation we were having, how easy it was to mistake random patterns for something “spooky”.

To be fair, you do have a point, you dont need to do anything – when i said ” While those are extreme possibilities they are not probabilities and before declaring them as such you need to go back and exclude other explanations” i was talking more as a general rule of thumb than anything else. Your friend mentioned you may be joining the facebook group, when and if you do you will see that i am pretty fair and open minded during the discussion regarding those pictures….the only reason i commented here was to make the point that the person who highlighted the images (me) didnt do so because he saw something he considered “paranormal” and i felt my opinion was being slightly misrepresented.

Keep up the ghost hunting though, hopefully you will find something unambiguous one day.

They are ghostly though eh. πŸ˜‰
Ghostly is not a ghost. πŸ˜‰
Always more proof gathering to do, even your group said it, which is what my friend told me. Which I agree with. πŸ˜‰

Laughing cow? Didn’t know of that one. Or is that the face thing on the bushes, I forgot to add it to be honest, my friend mentioned it too but I genuinely forgot.

I agree with your general rule of thumb, fair point Graham.
I had no intention of misrepresenting anything so apologies for that of you feel it was.
I did request to join but not added so far so looks like that won’t happen.

I don’t doubt you are a fair person and no offence was meant.

Glad you commented and thanks for doing so. πŸ™‚
