Tidy up after yaselves!
Most of us are lucky to have some beauty around us, here we are lucky in a few ways, having Chesil beach on our doorstep is a big one for us, it’s unique, it’s looked after and we’d like to keep it that way, so…
What is it with people that they are so damn lazy they can’t dump their shit in the proper place, leaving broken bottles, cans, bags and other shit on the beach!!
Not good, it’s just… Lazy!!
Tidy up ya crap and leave the beach safe for others to use, seeing a dogs paw sliced open, or a child’s foot, or worse is not nice thing and yet so preventable, visit the beach by all means and enjoy it, just take ya crap with ya when you leave, simple really.
A lack of respect, is it also getting worse?
Hope not but it does seem that way in general, in case the message doesn’t stand out…
Hope they can read!
The point is we have to live here and see it all the time, sadly because we shouldn’t see it anytime.
It shouldn’t be happening! People should respect the surroundings a bit better than they do, do get me wrong… it’s not just holidaymakers, it’s some locals too, they show a lack of pride in their surroundings, where they live too. Crazy!
This lack of respect in the UK overall is getting worse in my opinion, sadly.

Hello Rob.
It’s the same here in Ireland, There is a popular beach well what’s left of it most of the beach has eroded at a very fast pace. But I went there last summer and I was walking with my sister much of the Beach was mostly Chip bags, Cola Bottles and shopping bags but what surprised us most was that there were also Car tyres and old bicycles maybe it’s just a British isles beach thing.

Hello mate,
That’s a shame, sad to see the sheer lack of respect really, we live in a beautiful place, the Brit Isles and Ireland… be nice to keep it that way.
As far is Russia is concerned there is quite a lof of rubbish here almost everywhere, because people are too lazy to throw the stuff into the trash cans.
This always saddens and irritates me.

Yeah, it is only being lazy and disrespectful… sadly.
Baffling when these people have to live with it too.

You should see the Philippines Rob, the place is way polluted, I guess people here are much disrespectful, tsk tsk. The sad part is that there’s really nothing we can do to stop all these little things at once from happening until it become so big that the world can no longer be saved. Well, I hope discipline comes in time before it’s all too late.
You really love your place man, and I admire you for that. You have inspired me a bit to think more about how I can save my own land. Thanks.
Regards,
Jason

hey Jason,
Thing is it’s ALL of our responsibility…
My sons, they NEVER litter, anywhere, we brought them up to realise, they gotta live with it, create a mess and you live in it.
They will always put, say a choc bar wrapper in their pocket and wait till they see the nearest bin, throw it away properly.
That makes me proud, happy, that they are indeed doing their bit.
As for this place, hard not to love it when it looks this good.

It’s a world-wide problem.
There are beaches not far from where I live in Japan and outside of the summer season, they are covered in litter washed up from the sea and from the river outlets. The rivers are full of garbage too.

It is a world wide problem… when talking of the beaches.
But, you go to some parts of Europe, say Germany, you won’t see litter all over the streets…
The streets are bad enough, but they are done by locals, with beaches, this crap is coming from all over the world, like with most other beaches… sadly people don’t seem to think about it, the fact they chuck crap in the sea 2000 miles away and it ruins places elsewhere.
About time people took some responsibility for areas wider than where they live… but where they live would be a good start!
They should be aware that all garbage they dumped on the beach will always comes back to haunt them. Nature knows how to take over if they are abusing the environment. Thanks for the post Rob.

Ya right there.
I added your name to the keyword bit, I won’t allow just keywords.
Yeah, it is scary how people feel they can dump wherever. There certainly is an “underclass” of sorts reaching a new prominence, I think. In previous eras, people aspired to higher things. But now the highest thing is making money and getting celebrity, and truth be told, none of those things are very high at all. The larger point I’m making is that it is hard for people to show respect when they don’t know what respect is in the first place.
