Weymouth harbour 🙂 (abroad to us!) 😆

Internet marketing is about shipping out, without shipping you get no return. 😉

Want to make money online, get money links out there, want readers, get your content out there, want fans, amaze them, want backlinks virally, blow them all away… whatever, it’s give first… 😉

Give then get…

It’s not just with marketing though, it’s all the time, we are continually shipping out a perception too, with that comes expectation… living up to the perception you put out and meeting the expectation of others for you to match it. 😉

The problem is…

Internet marketers rarely do that, most pitch crap after crap, you unsubscribe from their crappy list and still get their newsletter (spam by this point) which is enough to piss anyone off…

Yet these marketers tell you to get on all marketers list, in order to “keep up” with what’s going on… let me suggest something, don’t bother. 😉

The best thing I ever did a couple of years back was stop being involved with all that crap, who wants to keep up with dubious tactics anyway? Not me! 😆

Which is why I am getting back into it with a fresh perspective, internet marketing is not all bad, never was, the perception of it is though, sadly due to the snake oil type of tactics many use… obviously money is all that matters to them. 😉

The basics are still the same, the playground to do it all is not though, and that is good in my opinion, things are opened up more now than they ever were, one thing that every internet marketer will agree on is the internet marketing niche itself is small, that’s where IMarketers sell to each other, it’s like a jerkfest.

THAT is where it’s lame!

Most who are new to it make the mistake of trying to work within that niche, where there are more experienced marketers waiting to bleed them dry.

Bad move! 😆

Which is why I am glad to see a membership site starting up again soon to be run by two friends who I go way back with, back to when we started this lark. 8)

People who won’t be using crappy tactics and teaching others to use them… the content and tips will be what we know to work and how to keep delivering results you are after, teaching and helping in the right way.

The link above is a product created by one of the friends I am talking about, I know that product would help anyone wanting to get stuck into this game.

I am looking forward to the new stuff, it will be interesting to see just how different it was to the last time the same domain was up. 😉

I’ll be sure to let you know here as soon as that is done.

It will suit those new to it better than anyone, the product linked above would give many a head start. 😉

I am tempted more now to do paid private post on here and have a case study when this is up, it would be a good experience and a great learning exercise, of course those who buy the above product through the above link will get access to these private post here, free.

Make money online with internet marketing knowledge and top your income up, see most of the internet marketers out there try to create false hype, you know, earn 100,000 pounds in 20 mins bullshit, whereas most people would be happy with a couple of 100 pound a month on top of their own income, for real, actually have some results!

Wouldn’t you? 😉

I like the idea of teaching internet marketing for the sake of supplementary income. I never intended to strike it rich online, and truth be told, I actually think it’s easier to get famous online than rich. Which is kinda shocking, given how competitive it is here.

Yeah but ONLY if you know what ya teaching, far to many people start trying to teach others how to make money while not making any themselves… most of us make that mistake. 😉

It probably IS easier to get “known” than rich… good point.

Ever wandered why so many property investors want you to come to a seminar to learn or their secrets for $1995, or stock market pickers, or internet marketers… Unfortunately internet marketing has no regs and is the easiest to get away with either outright lies, old info or plain just not knowing what you are talking about (as the above commentator suggests(hopefully sarcastically) )

Thats why 99% (or there abouts) of people fail with making significant money online.

@Rob – I went thru the same cycle – had my hopes raised and dashed a few times – which along with my natural cyncism made me give up and get a JOB (yuck) – but he allure was too much – and 2nd time around I got lucky with finding some genuine experts. The the sad part is that most of them have now quit the internet marketing game (well the teaching it publicaly and free side of it – I am sure they are still running their businesses)

Quality wins the game, every time. with quality content, links and traffic (then eventually followers), then everything will work your way. Just need to be passionate with what you are doing to truly provide exceptional work, besides it’s all worth it. you get to enjoy what you do and you get to earn from it 🙂

I’ve added you on Bloggerluv 🙂 I’m beginning to enjoy it now, I’m done exploring the community and I do think it’s good to start building a reputation there this early, before it goes boom. thanks Rob!

You are so right, there is a lot of crap out there in the IM space. It is quite refreshing when you come across a site (you) that calls it out and is keeping it real.

You definitely should give before you receive. Unless you are trying to play some kind of numbers game where you are throwing out a million affiliate links anywhere you possibly can, then you are going to have to earn someone’s trust. You do that by being genuine. You do that by providing real value with no expectation of anything in return. When people see you are doing that, the reciprocity factor kicks in. Then they will go out of their way a little bit just to make sure you get some kind of benefit. They will put in a good word for you somewhere and all of a sudden you are selling product when you don’t even understand why.

As far as internet marketing and MMO goes, there are a lot of people who are misinformed about what really works. That is especially true about SEO. I enjoy reading some forums from time to time so that I can feel good about my knowledge in the field compared to the new people on there who are telling each other to do things that I guarantee will not benefit them in the least. And the biggest laugh comes when you see someone ask a really beginner question, yet they have a link advertising their SEO service website in their forum signature. That is the perfect way to advertise that you totally suck at your own job.

I am tempted to join one using a name like Sarcastic SEO. Then go around asking dumb ass questions like all the other newbies pretending to be expert SEO professionals.

      Nicely put Kathy. 😉

I have to laugh as well when I seen those kind of forum questions, people even have “make £2000 overnight” crap in their sigs, while asking how to make money online, fast, as they are “broke” … lol, what a joke… 😉

Great post Rob and sad to say I was one of those getting sucked into making large amounts of money years ago. I am glad to see that people like your friends are putting some good products out there for people, that is certainly refreshing. And I must agree with Kathy those forum sigs crack me up.

Rob….you walk the walk and talk the talk. Which does prove your credibility and shows that there is a person behind the words on a blog. I only wish there were more people like you out there. You personally respond to your comments and provide content that actually “adds value”. Newbies who think they will make it rich online by blasting out nothing but affiliate links in every form imaginable show come here to educate themselves on how to do things right. Thanks for being a shining example of showing online business owners on how it should be done Rob!

What a nice affordable option for information your friend is offering. I wish I had that when I started..and at that price I could have afforded it. I think everyone eventually comes to the conclusion that all the hype from the internet marketing gurus is a load of crap. I’m constantly unsubscribing from those newsletters and annoying daily emails.

You hit the nail on the head. I wrote a post about “Get Rich Quick Schemes” that kind of talks about the same thing. These so-called gurus who try to spit out their garbage for the masses to eat up. Most of their program is just convincing you to buy into it. Then when you get the program, it is how to convince other people to buy into it LOL.
