Something odd happened the other day and I couldn’t quite dismiss any of it, I had a strange conversation with someone just recently that really got me thinking, for ages, quite deeply too.
It was the thinking I couldn’t quite dismiss…
The last few days I have been questioning this and wondering what kind of r**bit hole is this? (hover mouse over that word)
I was having almost a serious debate with… myself. 😉
Then this morning I read of the passing of Stephen Hawking, tragic but a good innings and no more suffering for him and his body… RIP … we lost a genius.
To me his genius is different to most others we know of, and it almost ties into what me and my friend were talking about.
Perception is everything
He is that genius of perception, he perceived things in a way no one else really could, being “trapped” into that mind that way he was, he was the only one who could have his perception.
Much like you and yours, me and mine. In a different way. 😉
All we mere mortals can do is try to understand them. Most of us I think underestimate the power of perception.
Just to prove that point, how big do you perceive the universe to be?
As we will never really know the size of it, we can only perceive it.
I don’t care what science says, we will never really know. Not even in a 100 years time will we know.
We can only measure what we see, I am not a believer of the “big bang” theory in the way it’s told… was our big bang just another star imploding elsewhere in the wider universe?
I mean, look at it this way, imagine being sat in Wembley stadium, let’s say all of our visible universe is inside the centre circle of the field… even if we could measure further, to the outer limits of the stadium…
We still don’t see what’s beyond it.
Imagine saying that’s all of it, and ignoring the rest of the UK outside of it. 😆
Then the world beyond… 😉
So I can’t see us ever having the real answers.
What’s your perception
Anyway, perception, that’s a powerful thing, it’s what lead’s to answers to the big questions.
That’s because the answers are all within us, and they start out with us questioning our perception of something.
Many will have done this with one example…
When someone first asked you… Is God real?
The first thing we do is try to perceive there being a God, and if we do that than we suddenly start to perceive what it would look like, be?
Immediately we perceive it to be something outside of us. Even the bible tells us this and people would have you believe that is the word of God.
Nothing is outside of us, never was, never will be.
Those who wrote the bible made the perception of it being outside of us real.
So, is it real?
Our mind makes it real
Come on Neo… you know this. 😉
You have seen the amazing Matrix films so full of perfect metaphors for telling us the truth to everything?
Metaphors work… they make the “hard to understand” easier to understand… they change our perception. Which helps us see it clearer. 😉
It’s people that make it real, what’s more, the more people make it real in their minds the more real it becomes. 😉
YOU are god…
God is the collective of us all. 😉
We are the creator… collectively. I wrote that in 2015… still the truth!
Our minds are so powerful, the most powerful thing we know of… Without a doubt.
It shapes you, what’s around us, our world.
Nothing exist outside of our minds. A tricky thought but a truth. Yet we hardly understand these minds of ours.
How can we, they play tricks on us…. 😉
Good and bad
That’s all it comes down to really, if we really break it down to it’s fundamentals.
Good and bad, light and dark, healthy and unhealthy, clean and dirty, god and satan… see.
Simple as that really. Break it down to that and see it within us.
That’s what make us who we are. What qualities do we have as people.
We all know this is a truth, you would never say moors murderer Myra Hindley was godlike in any way, just as you would never say Mother Theresa was evil.
We all have good and bad in us, to different degrees.
Some will always find one or the other is us, some will only ever show one or the other. Never forgetting that whatever others see in us is a reflection of their perception of self.
On the whole though, dominating qualities are what we get known for and are remembered for.
Are they good or bad? Are you happy about it? 😉
What’s your perception of you and is it one you want others to have?
So, how big is this universe then?
RIP Mr Hawking.
