Interesting what feedback can do.
I appreciate all the feedback I have had, I thank you all for that. It helped, hugely.
Well, what an strange week, learnt a few things, realised a few things and spotted potential in a few things…
So all round, an pretty interesting one for me for many reasons, not just online related either.
It got me thinking though.. and more, see…
Life can be put into perspective at times.
But you don’t wanna hear about any of that.. do ya? 😉
Just a little bit then, could be of use to you…
Bottom line is…
Life is short
We all know it don’t we, do we all really know it though, I mean… just thinking on that could change your life. Something happens, you hear of a sad loss of someone, or you hear of an accident where someones life changed forever… you think, tragic.
Then you consider the fact life is short.
But it’s not just when you hear of something bad, or a certain thing happens that makes you think life is short, that we waste our time, It shouldn’t be either…
We all say life is short at times, then many sit in front of the tv watching rubbish (in my opinion) 😉 soaps and such for hours on end!
I have a friend who’s tv is almost never off… Is that a productive use of time, of which you have limited amount?
Not for me… Hence me writing so much so often when at home. 😉
Maybe you can find something different to do at home for hours that you can get into… Someone I know just started drawing, he then tried a little painting and though I wouldn’t say he is good, he is loving it, guess why he started… his tv broke! 😉
The irony… that was a month ago, he still hasn’t replaced it. Good on him. 😉
He learnt to …
Enjoy the good
Life is short… you should also be thinking that when something good or positive happens, you wanna be grabbing the time to do more of it, enjoy more of it etc. Like finding a great new passion, you want to be able to do it as much as possible if it’s enjoyable, yet you’ll also that see time flies!
Bit like being in love, enjoy it fully because time feels faster when it happens sometimes, before you know it you are 6 months down the line. 😉
How many times do we say… time flies when we are having fun?
Milk it… because life is short, no matter how long we are alive, and if we are doing what we enjoy we are going to be healthier… unless it’s bad stuff you enjoy of course.
I mean more in the sense of whatever makes you feel good and alive, doing more of it, but really enjoying it. That’s your high. Joggers get it. 😉
If you don’t know what it is, better get cracking trying new things till you find something you would spring out of bed to do, or look forward to doing when you can. It could be anything you never yet tried.
I like writing… and photography, you might have noticed. I just need to leverage it better to get more out of it.
Double whammy, as it will make me happier and motivate me. 😉
Whatever makes your heart sing… do that more and really enjoy it. Do it with the heart or not at all. 😉
Choosing the bad
“What” … I hear you say… well, hear me out.
No matter who we are, what we do, where we live, who we know, we are going to have bad stuff in life, in many forms.
Could be habits, people, situations, whatever… accept that we will always have stuff we don’t really want in our lives. Some things we can’t change, sadly.
For example having a member of family who just doesn’t like you. It can be painful, but you can’t change it. Still family, you never change that.
An example you can change is you may have a toxic work colleague, you’ve got to work with them if you enjoy the job, all you can do is interact with them as little as possible and not let them infect you with their toxic vibe knowing soon enough something changes it all, they get sacked or leave, gone, out of your life.
Some things we can change ourselves, and we should, it only benefits us to do so.
Some things we can choose a little easier. 😉
So, we accept we will always have some bad things happening going on in our lives and choose them wisely if we can, so if it’s a toxic person in your life you can just stop interacting with them, they don’t care anyway as they move onto someone else.
If it’s a situation that causes bad or pain and you can avoid it, you have a choice about it. Always.
We all have bad stuff happening in our lives, but if you can make a choice that effects it… do so.
Tis a biggie… I realise it more and more each day. 😉
They say we should always be mindful, it is so important, well, yeah, but…
Notice when you are stood there waiting to clock out of work and you have five mins to go… and no matter what you do, that clock doesn’t seem to be doing anything, it’s like time stopped… “come on” ya thinking…
Yeah… terrible that eh. 😆
Mindful of it, that’s why. Great to be mindful, it matters, but not …
When you should be ignoring it.
Mindfulness matters but it matters what we are mindful of more, and it can be a terrible thing at times, we all have that at times in life, it happens… for example we split from someone, we can’t stop thinking about them, that’s not a healthy thing, being mindful of that pain only hurts you.
It’s not always a good thing, mindfulness.
Unless you turn into one. 😉
Stop being mindful of the pain and start being mindful of the avoidance of it…. ie, take your mind off it by being mindful of and doing whatever takes your mind off it. 😉
I know… a mouthful!
Like someone would use it as a drive to do something positive for themselves.
That’s good mindfulness of a bad situation and making it work for you. It works. I do it myself. 😉
You got up this morning… 😉
You still have choices to make.
For that alone we should be grateful, granted some don’t the life they have, or the way life is going, heck, I’m not about my own at the moment, but slowly things change. Always. 😉
I’m grateful that I know that.
Sometimes you cut your losses and move on, other times, you accept the crap that you can’t avoid and deal with it.
It won’t stay that way, we know things change. Maybe we don’t ever find ourselves as happy again, or ever have a chance again for whatever opportunity we missed… that’s life.
Be grateful for what we do have in life, and things never seem as bad as we thought.
Together, be mindful of good things and be grateful they happen when they do.
Life is short, but it’s just a ride… as Mr Hicks said.
Interesting week… 😉
How was yours?
