There be gold there.

Rainbows, beautiful things. You can make your own, but to sell them is lame! Seems to be popular though along with unicorns!

I jest … for a change! Maybe not…

How many times have you seen the hyped up crap offers you see out there, you know, “make blah blah blah in such a time doing next to nothing while sitting on a beach somewhere” style, or “this one secret will make you rich, buy my shit for blah blah, by midnight, only 100 copies” crap … yeah, lot’s, me too.

A friend just asked me a similar thing, pointing to a site selling something (and nothing if you get my drift) and saying “hype isn’t it? Can’t be true, sounds too good to be, as they say, it’s a big problem all this hype out there, that’s just shit on a screen” (good quip that, it’s a truth! ) SHIT on a SCREEN … most of the time!

The problem in my view is not that there’s just too much hype out there, the problem is also …

… that people believe it all too easy, all too often.

Obviously my friend didn’t, nor do most if not all of you.

But millions do, sadly and that is the real problem, this hype works in many cases, it must do, yet, it’s all relative.

So, who really is to blame?

The owner of the crap selling the dream?

The copywriter for all that hype?

The people who buy it?

Someone else?

So many variables and it depends on each case itself, it’s hard to apportion blame to anyone really as it’s a bit of all.

Use your own bullshit radar, trust ya guts, that’s usually right.

You mark your line

Where are the lines and were they crossed? For all of us the lines are somewhat different.

For us collectively the lines are the law. End of, if it’s blatantly illegal it’s obviously wrong?!

Don’t you agree?

Me too, and there is a small R2D2 lookalike out there exposing alot of it. Funny to see those who those have had any connections to the syndicate running to sever ties… which in any sense is ironic because it is, in reality, 80% of those in the “Internet marketing” niche… in some form or shape who have had some connection along the way, wrote a post, or maybe promoted their crap, whatever.

But I got ripped off already!

So, someone crossed your line and ripped you off, and you want to blame someone… who?

You have to take some of it, for falling for it, if it sounded too good to be true, you should know it probably is, by now. If you were truly ripped off in an illegal way… get advice!

So, what should you do then?

Good question… (first thing is ignore that groups crap! Never subscribe to their crap emails either) Just stop buying hyped crap and save money for time-savers and tools!

Still up to it? Ok …

Realise a few truths first …

1, It’s a learning curve whatever happens, often a steep one too, depending on where you are, what you know, what you need to learn and know.

2, It’s never easy for anyone and there are NO magic bullets, whatever anyone says, you could buy your way into a head-start … but you then got a whole new dimension of shit to learn, deal with.

3, The key thing is it’s all TOOLS. This whole bloody net is one fat, useful tool, use tools to do something useful, teach you something that saves time, and make sure that something is part of a plan, something comes out of it of value to you, the best tool of all is your brain! Use it well.

4, There’s WORK involved, lot’s of it too … end of!

No work, no rewards

There is no way you will ever have a push-button-money-flows-in system from day one, never!

The most obvious and common advice seems to always be DO something you enjoy, love, have knowledge of.

It stands to reason if you want to do something online, you are gonna have to do it for long enough to see some sort of result, so a good place to start is always something you know you won’t bore of, get frustrated with, have a lack of energy for.

Follow through until you get that result, stopping and jumping from thing to another won’t help but it IS a very common thing, we have all done it!

In any case even if it bombs worse than you thought it would, you will learn ALOT… believe me.

Too easy to change direction, and it’s only worth it when you know the results will justify the efforts better, IE you stumble on a really good niche with a gap there for you to use. They are out there but damn, they are getting hard to find …

Things change, as always

Now things will either get alot harder, or alot easier depending on where you are in relation to experience, what you do, where you do it and how.

The fact the web is full of spam means two things, one, google has no foolproof way of determing what is and is not spam, Aaron of SEObook has it all summed up well on his blog, the explanations of content farms and whatnot, two, people will use google less if it stays as it is.

Google have some serious cleaning up to do, but just bitches about bing at the moment, shame, Aaron is one to listen too when it comes to SEO and such.

Maybe bing are onto something.

But overall, the whole thing about making money online with what you do hinges on search traffic, most of the time, because social traffic is shit, UNLESS it’s actually aimed at being virally spread… then it can be worth it.

Generally it’s the search results that get you BUYING traffic.

Basic SEO is still needed

The first thing to realise is that you are aiming to deliver what a searcher is looking for!

Following googles own advice helps, but doing what THEY do is also a good idea, after all, it can’t be ok for them and not you.

Googles own basic search tips, is a pretty good start to get to grips with how people really use it, there are many search parameters, variations, yet most “search users” don’t have a clue so they don’t use them in these ways. Still, worth learning and using yourself.

(Long tail keyword, that is, a search term of say four or five, six words. IE. “simple homemade English cake recipes” …

Long tail does matter and maybe it will matter more in future, maybe not, more importantly I think is deciding the niche and short tail terms you aim for, so much competition out there makes it important, it’s far too easy to be hit with a massive wall of more experience and established content and competition out there.

Like… “English cakes” is gonna be a hard short tail

Keep it as simple as possible.

Interesting thing to do, if you really want to jump into this silly goldfish bowl of crap, is to go see a friend who has no real idea how any site makes money online, and get them to use google or bing, whatever they use and watch what they do, and how they do it.

Might surprise you!

Solid pillar content will always win out

No matter what you do, write as solidly as you can and make each bit you do worth writing, and more importantly for visitors … reading. Build up on that by always giving value out, give them what they want to read and what they are more likely to share, and act on, ie buy from!

IE, using the simple English cake recipes example, you could have a blog with solid easy to follow instructions, even a video, anyone who finds it easy enough to follow will do so, they can stop searching, make your post complete, all they need to know and on the bottom of each post have a link to buy your nice recipe video ebook, which has ALL of your post and more you could add, just for the buyers.

Think they would be happy to buy? They have already seen what you deliver and how.

But some say it’s not a good idea to just give great content out, you gotta get an action from it everytime, I agree to a point, but you can’t expect that…

Even if alot of people don’t buy your stuff, the thing is your GREAT content will still be worth reading in a years time… people will share it, which also leads to future sales, and all the while you rank higher and higher in the SEngines.

Don’t give up

Probably the biggest thing once you get the hardest part over with, that is starting up… keeping on keeping on can be hard at times but you have to persevere, else it’s all somewhat wasted effort, usually people say “people give up one step from success” … and it’s probably true in many cases.

If you really feel worn out, or bored, or just sick of it, step away for a while, give yourself a breather, and just continue with promoting your content just to keep it rolling.

If you have solid content, it will revitalise you when you get back to it, and see what efforts you have already put in, and if it’s all working, great.

Simply get back into the groove and do more, or work at ways to make better use of the content you already have, new ideas to expand on things etc.

Just giving up won’t help. :(

Amazingly I saw what was a great solid content blog with tons of traffic and a G PRank of 6 vanish… nothing there but an auction page to sell the domain! … wow, just wow!

Crazy, they should have sold the whole blog as it was and banked coin, rather than just stop, give up, although I don’t know the circumstances of it, it seems odd to say the least.

Branding, building to sell

Branding is what seems to be the thing now, a better idea to have a brand name or keyworded domain than to have say… a name, like mine because you can if you get fed up, just sell the whole thing as a business.

So, using the English cake example, a bad move would be janesenglishcakes .com for example. (broken so not live links!)

Far better would be some sort of branding that anyone could be proud of, unless you are selling the site to a Jane!

SimpleEnglishRecipes .com for example would work better and be a much better selling point for any new owner.

A good long term idea but it’s not limiting you to long term efforts, you could work solidly for a year on that and when it’s making a “livable wage” each month, sell the whole thing for a large sum, so if it was £1000 a month, you may decide to sell for 8 grand.

Just an example, but it means you got a 8 months pay for nothing!

People do this, they create a money making site as fast as possible then sell it on for a bigger lump, rinse repeat.

On the other hand you may decide to jump straight in with an established site and buy one from someone and just build upon it.

The other way is to become the expert to go to in whatever niche you are in.

Maybe you are already an expert in something?

Take it seriously

The one thing we’ve all done is fail to take it seriously at some point in time, how can we expect great results if we don’t take it seriously?

If the person with the “English cake recipe” site is not professional and doesn’t take it seriously, how will any reader take them seriously?

Food for thought!

So, what are you going to “bake”?

Just a quick post…

Enjoying the last of the good weather over the end of the summer and the nice sunsets it reminded me of some of the pictures I have, that are worthy of dressing walls… I think so, anyway.

So, I am sorting that out and hoping to see some grace your walls… Taste permitting, of course.

A simple gallery page added to this site, or even the Portland Bill one, or both, would probably do the job nicely, so that’s on the “to do” list now, having found a good printers to get things rolling, all depends on who it turns out but it’s something I would like to do more of. Can ya blame me, living here?

The sizes will vary, just need to get that organised.

Some will be limited … a certain number in a certain size.

More importantly though…

I need to make it as hands free as possible, that is automate it as much as I can allowing me to get on with other things, like writing for the blogs and marketing it all.

The key is to get it to the point where it’s 100% automated, after all, that’s better for me allowing me more time to just get great pictures, knowing the pictures are still being sold, delivered and people are happy.

I won’t just limit it to pictures for walls though, I think it’s worth using one of the many services out there which allow you to add pictures to lot’s of different apparel, mugs, t-shirts, hooded tops, table-mats, mouse mats, fridge magnets, even aprons … that sort of thing.

It may well make some nice Christmas presents for someone you know.

That’s the next thing for the “to-do” list. Keep an eye out for that update…

Always welcome, apart from spam!

Email marketing… the one thing I see preached everywhere as being the best thing to do… which I think is mainly hype, I say that as someone who tried it and as someone who reads newsletters and such, most are pushing crap, no matter what niche it is, there are a few email marketers who mainly give out solid information with the occasional pitch… that’s fair enough in my view.

Others are just pitching almost every email (read: permission spam) not the right way to go about it… else I’d still be on the list!

Done right, email marketing has to be a goldmine if it’s in a niche that at least makes some sales, some niches are useless!

If you are going to market by email or start a newsletter, here’s how to really succeed at it…

Make your newsletter the best thing you do!

Seriously, if it’s something you really put all your best and most important content into then people will have to sign up to get it, no?

If it kicks arse… why would they leave?

Let’s face it, if they leave then you have not given more value to them than what they pay you in money, over-deliver and you can’t go wrong.

Most have their newsletters free to sign up to, then pitch occasionally or often in the hope sales will be made, taking a punt on the numbers game working out for them, but…

A paid newsletter may work better

If you really want to not pitch at all… why not make it a paid newsletter and make it very clear on the sign up page, in promotional efforts, why and how they benefit from it from being that way, then stick to making the content so good that these people will gladly keep paying the subscription.

Instead of pitching to the readers, you could then give away your products… yes, more people will have it (no income either, directly) but balance that out over time with subscription fees you get and you should be able to profit and because you are giving good stuff to those loyal to you, they are more likely to feel they are in profit.

Granted, if you have a paid newsletter you may get less readers overall, but when you consider that you pay out yourself for doing the newsletter, often linked to the readership size, it would also benefit you in cost.

Then you realise every reader is a paying one too… and paying customers are always easier to sell anything else too, after all you may not be able to give them someone else’s product, yet the readers (you know) would benefit from said product… making it worth sharing with them… even offer an incentive with a free product of your own, one that you wouldn’t normally share, or one that compliments the pitched product!

Let’s not forget, quite often the cost to create a digital product is next to nothing, so you would have a big profit margin by giving them away to your paying readers and you only have to create the product ONCE!

Promoting your newsletter and creating the best content is then all you really need to work hard at, after all, more sign ups equals more income.

Create a lens to promote your newsletter… asking your existent readers for a few testimonials to help, this is easy to set up and once done, it’s done.

Try to find other high quality newsletters in the same niche and barter some deal with them, offer a freebie in exchange for a great guest newsletter article post on their newsletter, may get more sign ups!

Email marketing … is it for you?

The most important part of any building process? …

Most of you will agree that laying the foundations is the key to a safe solid building, without that we all know what happens.

Same as work, training is the foundation… No different with internet marketing or blogging any other endeavour online, possibly freelance work is a good place to start for anyone new, gotta say I am baffled when people expect it all to be so easy, so straightforward, so quick to success!

I got news, it isn’t… it never was, never will be either.

Sorry to burst any bubbles there, but hey ho, it’s the truth.

Not all is lost though…

There are alot of good tip sites out there to learn from yet the best way to learn is just to dive in, is it not?

Freelance work is a good way to build solid foundations I reckon and freelance work covers just about anything, online it could be writing, images and photos, web design and graphics, marketing, and so on…

If freelance work is suitable for you, you tried it and liked it, felt you could then go forth and build upon it… I think the best asset you can then sort out for yourself is your own site, showcase your work and then what you learn as you grow can also be applied to building other sites in whatever niche you do well with… OR helping others to build up their sites…

You also then have a better chance of also becoming sought after, which means your work is worth more… better income too!

Think of any freelance work as self education.

We learn more than we realise if you ask me, I forget what I know and I am sure that applies to everyone else too… right?

There are no limits other than what you put there.
So..what’s stopping you?

Or are you succeeding with freelance work and have anything to share? Please feel free to comment…

Money…

That’s a 5 letter word that causes so many problems for so many people, sadly the world seems to revolve around it.

We have a relationship with it… Mine has never been a great one which stems back to childhood, the truth is, it’s not the money, it was a reaction to other peoples reaction to money…

Let’s face it, how many self made rich people were brought up poor?

What changed them? …

Likely it was their reaction to their parents reaction to money that gave them that drive, we hear it, many of them say “We were poor, my parents struggled, I want to make sure my kids aren’t poor” something that’s understandable to most of us.

It works the other way too… too much emphasis on money at the cost of the more important thing, the relationship with those around you, after all kids don’t care about money, they learn alot whether you have it or not.

The problem is… Everywhere.

The system is set up this way, we have to rely on money and I think that’s a crap situation but it’s not something we can avoid (yet!) that includes me, you…

The one good thing is my lads have more likelihood of a better relationship with money than I did, mainly because I have never made money the be all and end all, I knew the downside of that.

Money is the means to an end, as we all know.

But we all still need it. Which is why I have to change my own relationship with money…

I have to start being ok with selling stuff and more, I have to shatter the glass ceiling I imposed over myself, it’s us that put them there.

Which is why I am now going to share with you something I created a few years ago, something many of you will enjoy, if you know me at all you know I love the Isle of Portland … and I hope that many of you will come to love it, at least you will see why I am glad to have grown up here.

Well, that’s one thing I can add to the income stream I have to replace having lost my offline work due to the lack of it.

Should you buy this to enjoy… I say thank you.

Internet marketing is about shipping out, without shipping you get no return.

Want to make money online, get money links out there, want readers, get your content out there, want fans, amaze them, want backlinks virally, blow them all away… whatever, it’s give first…

Give then get…

It’s not just with marketing though, it’s all the time, we are continually shipping out a perception too, with that comes expectation… living up to the perception you put out and meeting the expectation of others for you to match it.

The problem is…

Internet marketers rarely do that, most pitch crap after crap, you unsubscribe from their crappy list and still get their newsletter (spam by this point) which is enough to piss anyone off…

Yet these marketers tell you to get on all marketers list, in order to “keep up” with what’s going on… let me suggest something, don’t bother.

The best thing I ever did a couple of years back was stop being involved with all that crap, who wants to keep up with dubious tactics anyway? Not me!

Which is why I am getting back into it with a fresh perspective, internet marketing is not all bad, never was, the perception of it is though, sadly due to the snake oil type of tactics many use… obviously money is all that matters to them.

The basics are still the same, the playground to do it all is not though, and that is good in my opinion, things are opened up more now than they ever were, one thing that every internet marketer will agree on is the internet marketing niche itself is small, that’s where IMarketers sell to each other, it’s like a jerkfest.

THAT is where it’s lame!

Most who are new to it make the mistake of trying to work within that niche, where there are more experienced marketers waiting to bleed them dry.

Bad move!

Which is why I am glad to see a membership site starting up again soon to be run by two friends who I go way back with, back to when we started this lark.

People who won’t be using crappy tactics and teaching others to use them… the content and tips will be what we know to work and how to keep delivering results you are after, teaching and helping in the right way.

The link above is a product created by one of the friends I am talking about, I know that product would help anyone wanting to get stuck into this game.

I am looking forward to the new stuff, it will be interesting to see just how different it was to the last time the same domain was up.

I’ll be sure to let you know here as soon as that is done.

It will suit those new to it better than anyone, the product linked above would give many a head start.

I am tempted more now to do paid private post on here and have a case study when this is up, it would be a good experience and a great learning exercise, of course those who buy the above product through the above link will get access to these private post here, free.

Make money online with internet marketing knowledge and top your income up, see most of the internet marketers out there try to create false hype, you know, earn 100,000 pounds in 20 mins bullshit, whereas most people would be happy with a couple of 100 pound a month on top of their own income, for real, actually have some results!

So much for the daily posting! Will still aim to do it though…

The truth is my connection was terrible over the weekend for some odd reason, frustrating to say the least, ah well, technology for ya!

Like many of you bloggers out there, I sometimes take too much on and that can be a hassle at times, having to prioritise is the only solution with it.

One thing we all have in common is the need to make blogging pay it’s way, after all who wants to do all this for nothing?

Not me!

So it’s nice to get offers from people who contact me asking about the possibility of promoting their work as an affiliate, but…

Don’t ask when you have nothing to offer!

Affiliate marketing works both ways

While we all know what it means to be an affiliate and how it works, saying that I am left baffled at how some affiliate managers go about getting affiliates.

I have had about 5 offers recently and only two of them had anything even worth looking at, indeed I only agreed to two recent offers and will see how they go, more on that in another post.

The few that baffled me expect me to give them all my own details before seeing anything about the offers, yet they had nothing to offer, so I am less likely to even bother with them from here onwards, yet they have my details already… something I may ask them to remove completely.

If you really should contact bloggers with “offers” make sure it has something that fits first, it isn’t hard to do that, go check the blog out first!

Let us bloggers check out things without having to give you ANY information, after all, it’s US doing YOU the favour.

You expect bloggers to put effort into promoting your biz, then at least put some damn effort into checking things out first!

Don’t you agree?

Adsense tactics! sheesh!

Adsense, googles monetisation model for bloggers has at one time or other been used by most of us, well it seems like things are changing lately with blogger deleting established blogspot blogs made for adsense, a couple actually.

Maybe the writing has been on the wall, well…

Yeah they may have been in the MMO (make money online) niche, then again so what, they still fulfilled the agenda of which google set… solid, fresh and unique content, the main issue in my eyes is they use blogspot so not owning it, this is a problem because google own it and if they want to delete it they can, problem with that? It’s tough… in their view, own it or lose it.

Hypocritical in some way when they take the money from the advertiser happily while you build that damn content they monetised!

Is it the beginning of the end for adsense then?

Maybe adsense is on it’s way out, I do see less sites with it now than a year or two ago or maybe they are just going to have to change some things, let’s face it, as Dave recently commented on here “how often do you click adsense?”

Do you earn alot from it?

My guess is probably no to both!

I may say google is being a bit harsh, hypocritical in a way but as Grizz said in the comment on his making money online in 2010 post, you have to adapt, as you can’t fight them.

Grizz was the original made for adsense blog aimed at the search term “make money online” and his success was he did what he taught and shared it freely, right there on that blog itself, solid long well targeted and unique content doing as it said.

This of course spawned copycats aiming at doing the same thing, in the same way, competing against him with his own advice, with even the same theme for the blogs, so you have to say, from now…

Adsense success may depend on your content and style.

Now Grizz knows this stuff regarding adsense way better than me, yet it’s not gone unnoticed by me that he removed his adsense a fair while ago, possibly why his site was still up when others went down, one of which is now reinstated.

I am glad to see that Grizz’s blog is still there because the content alone on that blog is the “must-bloody-read-all-this” kind.

Reading that post he actually shared a lot of the warning bells he had go off in his own mind and what he did to deal with it, while throwing in advice for anyone out there using adsense, especially within the MMO niche.

Google don’t mind you earning, as long as you don’t talk about it, or teach others how to do the same.

That’s the main gist I get from Grizz’s post, which he slapped up recently on a break from the golf course!

I only wish he did a newsletter where he could be sharing more of what he wanted with those who know he knows he stuff, sharing what no-one Big G can’t slap him for.

Ok, so some bloggers and site owners (starting to think static sites are probably better long term with adsense) have to just accept things and adapt, but I still can’t help thinking…

Maybe it’s time adsense adapted too.

This thin site tactic is a bit of a hump an dump one, throw up blogs and some content, build backlinks, promote, leave it and doing this many times over just to find the few that work well, build on the workers, and dump the rest and it works for some, you know 100 crappy blogs earning £5 a day each is an income!

Didn’t google ask for this though?

I am sure when adsense started they didn’t want those who used it to use other ads with it, which leads to these sites centred around adsense… after all, if that’s all you could use, then you bet they were gonna do whatever to get it working good, if that meant making spammy crap that’s what alot did.

While they don’t mind you mixing things up now they are still as always vague with it all, like the recent slaps on these blogs, no warning just a bosh and no real explaination ever comes from google.

About time they started using that thing called clarity.

Be clear and a bit more transparent about what’s ok and what’s not.

Think about it… google slap sites that deliver exactly what’s asked of them by google, and they make money for the blogger and google and the advertiser.

While only one of them does the work… the (slapped) blogger!

You couldn’t make this shit up!

What are your thoughts?

I have been out and about making the most of the good weather and taking some nice photos, mainly for the Portland Bill site and a few for here. I mentioned recently about the aim to grow that Portland site … Continue reading →

Sweet! A splash of colour changes everything...

I have been out and about making the most of the good weather and taking some nice photos, mainly for the Portland Bill site and a few for here.

I mentioned recently about the aim to grow that Portland site and monetise it too, also about whether to share how I aim to do all that and why openly on here in post, or on private post here set up for members only.

Still undecided on that to be honest, as I am not yet getting right into sharing the real meat of it, I can at least share something about my thought process for it all and some ideas of what I need to do in order to get this moving the right way and maybe some other things I have noticed.

Just for now, I’ll start with a few basic things I need to outline and where I go from here with that site…

Portland Bill and what I need to do

After all if you don’t know the end goal we don’t see how I get there or how whatever I do fits in with that.

So, let’s get the end goal out of the way… so you see my long term aim with it.

Overall the main goal is to get this site generating a residual income, that is passive income, however small if it’s a regular and hands off income, that is great… if you press me for a number I’d say £200 a month from this one site would be nice and a good place to grow from, is it that hard?

There are only a few ways to do that for me really, I may well have to try them all in order to know what’s best for all concerned… but the main three are…

Sell advertising space

Sell some sort of product (own or affiliate)

Generate direct leads for others

They all have pros and cons which will need weighing up and testing out for the best results overall, I may do one, a mix or something depending on how it all works out, but they all also depend on one core thing, that is… visitors!

It’s the visitors who are one side of the value bargain, the advertisers the other, I am simply the middleman!

My only real job is to create the content that interests the reader, content that keeps them coming back, interacting with it, sharing it and possibly leading them, or others to any advertiser.

My main “need to do” is to post more quality content, more often and stick to it.

The advertiser only cares for clicks at best, eyeballs at worse.

Portland Bill traffic, the key for value and the end result

So my first task is to really work out where and how to build the traffic up on the site, which at the moment is steadily increasing daily again after a small dip for a month or two, that’s due to me being busy sorting this blog’s move to WPress among other things, the recent increase is due to some recent changes here and the added facebook fan community page, Ill get that back to the regular 100 – 130 a day again soon enough, then grow it more!

Not big traffic I agree, but a steady regular flow and more importantly is the fact people spend an overall average of 13 mins on the site, pretty good that is and I don’t need massive traffic, I need highly targeted traffic!

The main thing is that it’s all targeted traffic, most of the blog visitors are local people, or ex local people…. with a few potential future visitors thrown in!

The recent interaction on there has increased due to adding the new comment platform, with the added facebook log in that has made it easier for the facebook users to make that jump from reader to commenter and contributor.

Portland Bill’s on site SEO and off site SEO

Website owners and bloggers know what I mean, for those who don’t on site SEO is basic Search Engine optimising on the actual site itself, that is, links, keywords, formatting and so on, improving the site itself.

Off site SEO is taking into consideration the various methods like articles, blog guest posting, using forums, blog commenting, other websites linking back to it, and so on…

I will be using the Portland Bill keyword more when I comment on other blogs too as they are anchored links.

Keywords and search terms will play an important role for me with this, but it is not the main aim as I still want the blog to “read” better for the readers.

One thing I have noticed is backlinks from here count for nothing!

No good using links from your own sites unless it’s for the benefit to the reader like I have here with this post, because no “weight” is passed (blog owners know what I mean, it only applies to them) …

That means I need to continue building up anchored backlinks like Portland Bill from elsewhere, I don’t think I even need that many to make the difference in the blog’s search ranking…

Back-linking tips I will take on board, tips to get that passive income online coming in and I’ll also be getting some make money online advice, that is <a title="More grizz tips!
Ok that is a big fat hint at them owners for a Portland bill backlink from somewhere they know will help me!

They are the basic things to deal with for me at the moment, I have to continue creating decent content, post it more often and regular intervals and I have some good post to do with some great pics too so that’s ok.

Keep building the traffic and interaction on the site and start getting plans in action for the next stage of growth.

How can you reader help me with that, if you wanted to?

I would be grateful for any help from you readers no matter how small and some things you could do are…

Comment often on the site, using your facebook log in if you are unsure about it all, it’s one click, done.

Share the post, either using the “share” button under the post to your chosen place, facebook twitter etc, or copy paste the url in the browser window to wherever you wish to share it.

If you have a blog or site, an anchored backlink would be appreciated, one in a post even more so… or on the sidebar of your blog, preferably with the phrase “Portland Bill” or similar.

You can let me know if you do anything like the above and I can see how or what I can to help you in return.

All that remains is for me to say a massive thanks to every one of you readers, here and on the Portland Bill blog.

I will keep you well updated on the progress of that blog as we go along.
