There be gold there.

Rainbows, beautiful things. You can make your own, but to sell them is lame! Seems to be popular though along with unicorns!

I jest … for a change! Maybe not…

How many times have you seen the hyped up crap offers you see out there, you know, “make blah blah blah in such a time doing next to nothing while sitting on a beach somewhere” style, or “this one secret will make you rich, buy my shit for blah blah, by midnight, only 100 copies” crap … yeah, lot’s, me too.

A friend just asked me a similar thing, pointing to a site selling something (and nothing if you get my drift) and saying “hype isn’t it? Can’t be true, sounds too good to be, as they say, it’s a big problem all this hype out there, that’s just shit on a screen” (good quip that, it’s a truth! ) SHIT on a SCREEN … most of the time!

The problem in my view is not that there’s just too much hype out there, the problem is also …

… that people believe it all too easy, all too often.

Obviously my friend didn’t, nor do most if not all of you.

But millions do, sadly and that is the real problem, this hype works in many cases, it must do, yet, it’s all relative.

So, who really is to blame?

The owner of the crap selling the dream?

The copywriter for all that hype?

The people who buy it?

Someone else?

So many variables and it depends on each case itself, it’s hard to apportion blame to anyone really as it’s a bit of all.

Use your own bullshit radar, trust ya guts, that’s usually right.

You mark your line

Where are the lines and were they crossed? For all of us the lines are somewhat different.

For us collectively the lines are the law. End of, if it’s blatantly illegal it’s obviously wrong?!

Don’t you agree?

Me too, and there is a small R2D2 lookalike out there exposing alot of it. Funny to see those who those have had any connections to the syndicate running to sever ties… which in any sense is ironic because it is, in reality, 80% of those in the “Internet marketing” niche… in some form or shape who have had some connection along the way, wrote a post, or maybe promoted their crap, whatever.

But I got ripped off already!

So, someone crossed your line and ripped you off, and you want to blame someone… who?

You have to take some of it, for falling for it, if it sounded too good to be true, you should know it probably is, by now. If you were truly ripped off in an illegal way… get advice!

So, what should you do then?

Good question… (first thing is ignore that groups crap! Never subscribe to their crap emails either) Just stop buying hyped crap and save money for time-savers and tools!

Still up to it? Ok …

Realise a few truths first …

1, It’s a learning curve whatever happens, often a steep one too, depending on where you are, what you know, what you need to learn and know.

2, It’s never easy for anyone and there are NO magic bullets, whatever anyone says, you could buy your way into a head-start … but you then got a whole new dimension of shit to learn, deal with.

3, The key thing is it’s all TOOLS. This whole bloody net is one fat, useful tool, use tools to do something useful, teach you something that saves time, and make sure that something is part of a plan, something comes out of it of value to you, the best tool of all is your brain! Use it well.

4, There’s WORK involved, lot’s of it too … end of!

No work, no rewards

There is no way you will ever have a push-button-money-flows-in system from day one, never!

The most obvious and common advice seems to always be DO something you enjoy, love, have knowledge of.

It stands to reason if you want to do something online, you are gonna have to do it for long enough to see some sort of result, so a good place to start is always something you know you won’t bore of, get frustrated with, have a lack of energy for.

Follow through until you get that result, stopping and jumping from thing to another won’t help but it IS a very common thing, we have all done it!

In any case even if it bombs worse than you thought it would, you will learn ALOT… believe me.

Too easy to change direction, and it’s only worth it when you know the results will justify the efforts better, IE you stumble on a really good niche with a gap there for you to use. They are out there but damn, they are getting hard to find …

Things change, as always

Now things will either get alot harder, or alot easier depending on where you are in relation to experience, what you do, where you do it and how.

The fact the web is full of spam means two things, one, google has no foolproof way of determing what is and is not spam, Aaron of SEObook has it all summed up well on his blog, the explanations of content farms and whatnot, two, people will use google less if it stays as it is.

Google have some serious cleaning up to do, but just bitches about bing at the moment, shame, Aaron is one to listen too when it comes to SEO and such.

Maybe bing are onto something.

But overall, the whole thing about making money online with what you do hinges on search traffic, most of the time, because social traffic is shit, UNLESS it’s actually aimed at being virally spread… then it can be worth it.

Generally it’s the search results that get you BUYING traffic.

Basic SEO is still needed

The first thing to realise is that you are aiming to deliver what a searcher is looking for!

Following googles own advice helps, but doing what THEY do is also a good idea, after all, it can’t be ok for them and not you.

Googles own basic search tips, is a pretty good start to get to grips with how people really use it, there are many search parameters, variations, yet most “search users” don’t have a clue so they don’t use them in these ways. Still, worth learning and using yourself.

(Long tail keyword, that is, a search term of say four or five, six words. IE. “simple homemade English cake recipes” …

Long tail does matter and maybe it will matter more in future, maybe not, more importantly I think is deciding the niche and short tail terms you aim for, so much competition out there makes it important, it’s far too easy to be hit with a massive wall of more experience and established content and competition out there.

Like… “English cakes” is gonna be a hard short tail

Keep it as simple as possible.

Interesting thing to do, if you really want to jump into this silly goldfish bowl of crap, is to go see a friend who has no real idea how any site makes money online, and get them to use google or bing, whatever they use and watch what they do, and how they do it.

Might surprise you!

Solid pillar content will always win out

No matter what you do, write as solidly as you can and make each bit you do worth writing, and more importantly for visitors … reading. Build up on that by always giving value out, give them what they want to read and what they are more likely to share, and act on, ie buy from!

IE, using the simple English cake recipes example, you could have a blog with solid easy to follow instructions, even a video, anyone who finds it easy enough to follow will do so, they can stop searching, make your post complete, all they need to know and on the bottom of each post have a link to buy your nice recipe video ebook, which has ALL of your post and more you could add, just for the buyers.

Think they would be happy to buy? They have already seen what you deliver and how.

But some say it’s not a good idea to just give great content out, you gotta get an action from it everytime, I agree to a point, but you can’t expect that…

Even if alot of people don’t buy your stuff, the thing is your GREAT content will still be worth reading in a years time… people will share it, which also leads to future sales, and all the while you rank higher and higher in the SEngines.

Don’t give up

Probably the biggest thing once you get the hardest part over with, that is starting up… keeping on keeping on can be hard at times but you have to persevere, else it’s all somewhat wasted effort, usually people say “people give up one step from success” … and it’s probably true in many cases.

If you really feel worn out, or bored, or just sick of it, step away for a while, give yourself a breather, and just continue with promoting your content just to keep it rolling.

If you have solid content, it will revitalise you when you get back to it, and see what efforts you have already put in, and if it’s all working, great.

Simply get back into the groove and do more, or work at ways to make better use of the content you already have, new ideas to expand on things etc.

Just giving up won’t help. :(

Amazingly I saw what was a great solid content blog with tons of traffic and a G PRank of 6 vanish… nothing there but an auction page to sell the domain! … wow, just wow!

Crazy, they should have sold the whole blog as it was and banked coin, rather than just stop, give up, although I don’t know the circumstances of it, it seems odd to say the least.

Branding, building to sell

Branding is what seems to be the thing now, a better idea to have a brand name or keyworded domain than to have say… a name, like mine because you can if you get fed up, just sell the whole thing as a business.

So, using the English cake example, a bad move would be janesenglishcakes .com for example. (broken so not live links!)

Far better would be some sort of branding that anyone could be proud of, unless you are selling the site to a Jane!

SimpleEnglishRecipes .com for example would work better and be a much better selling point for any new owner.

A good long term idea but it’s not limiting you to long term efforts, you could work solidly for a year on that and when it’s making a “livable wage” each month, sell the whole thing for a large sum, so if it was £1000 a month, you may decide to sell for 8 grand.

Just an example, but it means you got a 8 months pay for nothing!

People do this, they create a money making site as fast as possible then sell it on for a bigger lump, rinse repeat.

On the other hand you may decide to jump straight in with an established site and buy one from someone and just build upon it.

The other way is to become the expert to go to in whatever niche you are in.

Maybe you are already an expert in something?

Take it seriously

The one thing we’ve all done is fail to take it seriously at some point in time, how can we expect great results if we don’t take it seriously?

If the person with the “English cake recipe” site is not professional and doesn’t take it seriously, how will any reader take them seriously?

Food for thought!

So, what are you going to “bake”?

What a crap few weeks! Been quiet here due to sorting out other things, offline and online (like I mentioned in the last post) which set me back a bit but hey ho, no harm done…

But I got bloody man flu now too which is making me feel like shit in general, ah well, life ain’t meant to be all plain sailing, but being ill sucks, thankfully I am now on the tail end of it.

Still, a break can be good for many reasons, funnily enough I noticed a few interesting things that you might like to know, might not, but anyway, I thought I’d share a few things… at least get a bloody post up and get back into my rhythm again.

For one thing I get NO SPAM comments anymore… Aye, a good thing, it’s freed up some time to do other stuff for sure… and I’ll share about that too.

It might help you, might not, I’m sharing anyway…

No posting does not mean no traffic, more so when using commentluv

It’s good to see the traffic still coming here daily, shows that the work and effort put in over the months is always worth it in the long run and interesting to note that much of the traffic is through commentluv links on comments left elsewhere, something else to note, it’s the better comments left that get the biggest hits… whodathunkit!?

Another thing about it is blog post titles matter… a good reason for it’s (commentluv) success is the fact it changes the whole concept of comments adding to a conversation, whatever the said blog and comments conversation is.

The old way was just a link in the name field to our main url, (as it still is) and the comment alone was the only added benefit to both sides but now with commentluv allowing you to have specific post (which is also keyworded, ie related, if you done it right) linked to after adding the good comment as well as the main url in the name field, it’s easy to add another dimension to the post comments conversation, IE, leaving a link related to the post itself is benefiting everyone, so you benefit others twice, once with the good comment, and once with a related link, and that link is much more likely to get clicked than a name field url… it’s more appealing for a start.

As these links vary as much as you vary them, you can have related links to several different post on several different blogs, depending on what you wrote about, and it means traffic is still coming regardless of whether I post or not, from several different places… stop posting and it doesn’t mean traffic dies, or course it will be less than if you do post, that’s just common sense and no-one needs to tell anyone that…

Commentluv allows you to have up to 10 of your post linked to, so you have enough to scatter within decent comments on decent blogs to keep the juice flowing.

I see people saying they MUST post daily to keep traffic and I think for myself it’s not true, only you know – if you test it.

Posting more often will increase traffic some I admit, but so would marketing the damn blog more without having to write daily… swings and roundabouts. And leaving good comments on blogs IS marketing.

Good comments, not spam!

Want less spam? Of course you do

Spam is not marketing, though it’s pushers are persistent!

Or… they were until they come up to more blogs (like mine!) with the great new antispam plug in which is working… a treat!

This antispam plug in (G.A.S.P) is created by the same person as the commentluv one, Andy Bailey. Though also brought about with Gail from growmap, who shared it with me.

No more spam, bye bye bots.

The one good thing about blogger was the sheer lack of spamming, but hey ho, wordpress is just too good to leave and go back to blogger (for now at least) ok… maybe for good, so it’s something wordpress users just have to deal with, combat, get pissed off over, and things have just took a great leap forward with this new plug in I think.

You can see it’s set up below, having a tickable box which only humans can do, not bot’s means 99% of the spam crap is getting nowhere!

Now we can stop relying on askimet, – (even though it was and is a good plug in to use) – though I have yet to turn that off, I am seeing almost nothing of spam anyway, askimet was never perfect as Gail documents, it often wrongly labeled people as spammers, heck it’s happened to one commenter here on numerous occasions even though he had already posted good comments here several times before. He needs me to turn askimet off… I know Jason… I will.

WordPress users would do well to add this new antispam plug in to their armoury, seeing as it’s outperformed all the others I have tried so far. If anything it will just free up your time, time not wasted dealing with 100′s or more of spammy crap daily.

It’s also helped in removing the captcha code crap, which is easy to get wrong, or just play up… a ticked box is infinitely easier to deal with and better understood by everyone.

So, that’s a 10 out of 10, on the 10.10.10. to Andy for creating two fantastic plug ins that have massively benefited me as a wordpress user.

What next? Well, add them if you use wordpress, if not, please share this post, leave a comment, or “like it” below, or subscribe, buy me a beer, or something … thanks.

Always welcome, apart from spam!

Email marketing… the one thing I see preached everywhere as being the best thing to do… which I think is mainly hype, I say that as someone who tried it and as someone who reads newsletters and such, most are pushing crap, no matter what niche it is, there are a few email marketers who mainly give out solid information with the occasional pitch… that’s fair enough in my view.

Others are just pitching almost every email (read: permission spam) not the right way to go about it… else I’d still be on the list!

Done right, email marketing has to be a goldmine if it’s in a niche that at least makes some sales, some niches are useless!

If you are going to market by email or start a newsletter, here’s how to really succeed at it…

Make your newsletter the best thing you do!

Seriously, if it’s something you really put all your best and most important content into then people will have to sign up to get it, no?

If it kicks arse… why would they leave?

Let’s face it, if they leave then you have not given more value to them than what they pay you in money, over-deliver and you can’t go wrong.

Most have their newsletters free to sign up to, then pitch occasionally or often in the hope sales will be made, taking a punt on the numbers game working out for them, but…

A paid newsletter may work better

If you really want to not pitch at all… why not make it a paid newsletter and make it very clear on the sign up page, in promotional efforts, why and how they benefit from it from being that way, then stick to making the content so good that these people will gladly keep paying the subscription.

Instead of pitching to the readers, you could then give away your products… yes, more people will have it (no income either, directly) but balance that out over time with subscription fees you get and you should be able to profit and because you are giving good stuff to those loyal to you, they are more likely to feel they are in profit.

Granted, if you have a paid newsletter you may get less readers overall, but when you consider that you pay out yourself for doing the newsletter, often linked to the readership size, it would also benefit you in cost.

Then you realise every reader is a paying one too… and paying customers are always easier to sell anything else too, after all you may not be able to give them someone else’s product, yet the readers (you know) would benefit from said product… making it worth sharing with them… even offer an incentive with a free product of your own, one that you wouldn’t normally share, or one that compliments the pitched product!

Let’s not forget, quite often the cost to create a digital product is next to nothing, so you would have a big profit margin by giving them away to your paying readers and you only have to create the product ONCE!

Promoting your newsletter and creating the best content is then all you really need to work hard at, after all, more sign ups equals more income.

Create a lens to promote your newsletter… asking your existent readers for a few testimonials to help, this is easy to set up and once done, it’s done.

Try to find other high quality newsletters in the same niche and barter some deal with them, offer a freebie in exchange for a great guest newsletter article post on their newsletter, may get more sign ups!

Email marketing … is it for you?

The most important part of any building process? …

Most of you will agree that laying the foundations is the key to a safe solid building, without that we all know what happens.

Same as work, training is the foundation… No different with internet marketing or blogging any other endeavour online, possibly freelance work is a good place to start for anyone new, gotta say I am baffled when people expect it all to be so easy, so straightforward, so quick to success!

I got news, it isn’t… it never was, never will be either.

Sorry to burst any bubbles there, but hey ho, it’s the truth.

Not all is lost though…

There are alot of good tip sites out there to learn from yet the best way to learn is just to dive in, is it not?

Freelance work is a good way to build solid foundations I reckon and freelance work covers just about anything, online it could be writing, images and photos, web design and graphics, marketing, and so on…

If freelance work is suitable for you, you tried it and liked it, felt you could then go forth and build upon it… I think the best asset you can then sort out for yourself is your own site, showcase your work and then what you learn as you grow can also be applied to building other sites in whatever niche you do well with… OR helping others to build up their sites…

You also then have a better chance of also becoming sought after, which means your work is worth more… better income too!

Think of any freelance work as self education.

We learn more than we realise if you ask me, I forget what I know and I am sure that applies to everyone else too… right?

There are no limits other than what you put there.
So..what’s stopping you?

Or are you succeeding with freelance work and have anything to share? Please feel free to comment…

Chesil beach seemingly endless… but keep plodding along and you will get somewhere, bit like blogging eh?

I noticed on someone’s blog how they had gone and checked over the links on his blog and knowing I had some redirects still not yet sorted, I decided to sort the error page out in a way would help the blog, not sure if it will or not yet…

Yet, maybe me doing that with the link above being here on the post helps the SEngine’s spider the links…

Still, worth doing even it did take the best part of two damn hours, if you share any, it makes it even more worth my time!

More links than I wanted to see though!

It’s good to deal with it all and get the blog up to date and working better, yet I noticed something else too, that is since the move from blogger, Iv’e noticed the url’s used are good keyword ones which, looking at the post now, they could be altered to improve it…

Something some bloggers say is a no no?!

Well…

Bollox to what they say, my blog here

The endless path to improvement

Let’s be honest, daily we are trying to grow our blog readership, market it more, better, trying to get that extra traffic, building links, being part of the community, more possible income, working more and more, smarter, harder, always striving to improve… On and on!

I get sick of it at times, just to be clear it ain’t all a bed of roses but if blogging really interest you, be sure to own it!

Endless and often frustrating, yet, needs must all in the name of…

Improvement!

It is one constant in whatever we do, blogging, life, job, relationships, whatever, we always strive to improve it and part of that to me means also the act of looking back at what’s been before.

If you got a blog and a few post up, it would be worth looking into, after all, if you are keen to keep moving forward, improving what you do as you go along, ignoring what’s already on your blog you will still have all the back post’s that could be better…which could make a bigger difference in 6 months time… (helps next PR update)

Then start deep linking these older post, even if that have not been improved you should be deep linking to content of yours, deep linking just means to link to older relevant post of the same site/blog, it leads new readers to new content too, well, new to them, and make them anchored links.

That after all is the essence of the blogosphere.

Like so…

Gotta be in it for the long term. I am, and got lots to do!

I am pleased with the WP and what I can do with it, but wanted to take a moment to share why the commentluv here is turning out to be of the best plug-ins I use, and why, if you use WPress you should be using it on your blog…

If you don’t use WPress, you should, if ya need the help you should ask.

It’s things like this that I wanted to get onto WP for, with blogger being so restrictive in many ways I felt I am never really in full control of it, not half as much as I could be like with WP. It’s even making me consider whether to move my other Portland bill blog to WP, and add commentluv to that too.

I want to choose what and how the blog is used in all ways, not conform to a set of rules or other by others.

I appreciate every person who comments, other than spammers who won’t get anywhere here and more often than not if you comment I will follow you to your own blog, add to it if possible by way of a decent comment… yet to be honest I think with commentluv we are taking the real essence of blogging back to the blogs, that is…

Blogs are rich interactive communities

By rich I don’t mean money, but rich in value and it’s this one thing I gain most from commentluv, the fact I have found dozens of great new blogs with a similar outloook on the same thing, I found them via the links in comments.

After having that staleness due to using google reader mainly and getting fed up of it, using it less and getting back out there in the blogosphere it has been refreshing, a good way to go find new interesting blogs and commentluv has contributed to that more than anything else.

We all talk about social media and blogs were the real beginnings of that, they should be central to it, you own your blog too, build the socialness around it and be glad Andy Bailey gives us a great plug-in and service to do just that.

I have been shooting my body clock all over the place lately, after having my mojo sparked up by the recent move to this platform, finding great new blogs, blog that give me ideas, writing more… and it’s all good, ramping it up and it’s all a part of the move and using this plug in.

Where next for commentluv

Who knows but from what I have seen and can seen now, and where I think things could improved or added to it… I think up.

One good thing about the commentluv when you make a comment with the commentluv box ticked, you get is the little drop down of the last ten posts on your blog, you see this when hovering over the little arrow to the right of the link, and I thought a great addition to think about would be an option to utilise the data for the most popular clicked links of all ones used in commentluv comments, to have a best of drop down option, showing 5 most popular to choose from…

Just a thought!

Andy recently made changes which will free up more of his time, as a programmer and coder, that’s good lol… this done by stopping spammers in their tracks, only good news for everyone that is.

It would be useful if Andy could somehow utilise akimets database and block all spammers without the hassle of doing it himself… would be saving some serious hassle if it makes any sense. (no idea, not a programmer myself!)

Nevertheless the fact Andy is making the changes shows the direction he wants to take it.

How we users can and should do our bit for and with comluv

This all also has a positive effect on the value overall of the network and users, keeping the quality high is essential really, else people will stop using it, so it’s also in all our interest to make the comluv network work and work well.

Which is why if I comment on your blog I always try to add to to the conversation, add some value, not just for a link. It’s all swings and roundabouts as they say, people follow people not links.

It helps new readers find me and likewise it would with you too, this is the traffic benefit you can get from it, people say ah, small beans a few visitors, yet it only takes one person with the right reach to find you, like what you say and share it, even blog about you, then your traffic could spike nicely, permanently if you keep them interested and coming back

Consider every comment you make, make it worth posting, then try and use the drop down of recent post you have done to pick the best fitting link to that post you are commenting on, always think about the owner and their readers, not you.

If you find an interesting post of someone’s via comment links, and think it’s a good thing to write about yourself, something you wanted to expand on or something similar, then consider taking it that one step further and blog about it, link to them with a nice anchored link… give out, get back in other ways.

Use the search bar on the top of the comluv page (as can be seen through any one of these links on the post here: hint) and search for blogs on the same theme, topic, niche as your own, if you can…that searches only those who use comluv and this relevancy matters for the whole.

Visit other comluv blogs via their links in comments and the comluv home page, this is the whole goodness anout the comluv in the first place, it’s a network, a network of similar minded people who feel the luv, so to speak.

These comluv users are active with commenting, they reply, they are reading sites, sharing yours, you know, doing all the blogging jazz, the essence of it, make their blogs better by adding to them, linking to them, getting to know them, in turn they help you and yours.

BEFORE you go click this link unless you hit one earlier in the post… and join us in this network and make it what it can be, add to it, build up others and get built up yourself.

Credit were credit is due

Gotta be worth some credit that post eh … but all credit to Andy for making such a useful and beneficial plug-in and service.

Credit to him for making a service that is helping all of us, if we use it the right way and help keep the whole network quality, useful and helping it to grow then we all benefit.

Are you using it? No? Grab it… Yes, great…

Do you like it, or have tips, thoughts to share with us?

P.s Others have written about the commentluv, various good opinions to both sides too, one being a bit of both the good and bad with commentluv and ironic that the comments tell alot too.

It doesn’t mean you have to do anything of the sort if you don’t want to, there are other options as always…

Freelance work is a great place to start when it comes to doing things to make money online, everyone has some skill they can outsource for someone’s benefit, whether you do it for the money or something else, say something you need done that you can’t do yourself, freelancing works both ways.

The internet is massive! Ok that’s an understatement but it means…

…if you are good at what you do and there is some demand for it you would never really run out of freelance opportunities, even if you did you could create your own.

That is the beauty of all this “internetthingymajig”

There is no barrier to entry.

It really does level things out at the start, it’s no harder for you to start than it is your neighbour, brother, sister, friend, the barrier to entry is the same, all it takes is some work on your behalf and once going, what do you really need to spend out on other than a domain name if you are to take it seriously from an ownership standpoint?

Getting started (especially freelance work) is simple enough for everyone, even free…how you progress from there is 100% down to you, where do you choose to go?

If you want to stick to minimal outlay and hassle then you can, even free if you had to, though once you are able to you should always get your own domain(s).

Freelance work may be the simplest way to actually see money from your efforts…it’s just getting that first bunch of freelance work you need to work on hardest, that, if done right is bound to create some momentum! No?

There are plenty of sites dedicated to freelance style work, alsorts of work too, no matter what you can do there is bound to be something somewhere available.

If you are thinking, like me, this freelance lark sounds like a good-paypal-top-up-kind-of-thing-I-like… then what is possible, what could we do?

I have not done enough of it myself and part of this post is to also get me thinking about it better… I could always do more, do better.

If you have never done anything don’t wait… just start with something…

Writing your way to an income

If you can write articles it will be a good way to get started, don’t just wait for something to turn up, start writing and writing, write about your passion or expertise if all you are doing is learning as you go, make it easy by doing it on what you know, even if only for saving to your pc and not posting anywhere, for now just get into the groove of producing.

Once you know you can create decent articles then you can start posting samples on a blog or site, make it clear that it’s an article sample site because then the readers and search engines know it’s not focused around ONE topic, or niche, saves the confusion.

Importantly add a page for contact, you want it to be easy for anyone to get in touch and offer you work.

Then add a few to article databases like ezinearticles, always linking back to your blog or site in the articles, do the articles as best as you can.

Then start looking at freelance sites to see what is available, you will also have examples to show them too, if anyone ask for them and do not undersell yourself!

Don’t just write for others

At the start I mentioned the other ways to make money online, well thinking about it, once producing something then you could take these other ideas into consideration as it’s no more real effort to make them work as well as the basic freelance work to boost things.

If you manage to get some freelance work, you may have to even research a little to get the right info you need to write about, if so do it to the best you can but also do more than you need to do, if you only have to do five 500 word articles, then do ten of them…from the researching you may find you can take other angles with it, mix it up or just see what other articles you can up with for yourself, all from doing these ones for the boss buyer.

Then overdeliver if you think the buyer will appreciate it, give them 6 articles and make the 6th one an 800 word article!

A small extra that could go a long way.

Start packaging that extra work

As you know creating products is one way to go, with this in mind you can gather all articles that related in some way, niche, theme, topic and consider selling this as a part of a PLR article pack…

PLR = Private Label Rights, meaning the buyers can do whatever they like with them, you are selling it all, rights and the content.

Think 1 folder with 10 good 400-600 word articles would sell for 30 – 40 bucks a pop?

Create a short report to sell, written around same topic, sell some based on PLR so they can do what they like with them?

Add these to your blog or site too, remember marketing is half the game!

Never stop believing

Probably the most important thing, don’t worry about the misses, we can’t have it all on a plate from day one… or anytime really.

If you give up then it’s a cert you won’t get anywhere, no doubt about it.

If you think I am getting the results I want, think again but you don’t see me giving up, I believe I will get to where I want to be with doing all this, else I would have stopped by now.

Keep on keeping on, that is just the way it has to be, so even if you don’t get that freelance work, if you at least do something, (like above) don’t wait around, before you know it you got something done and you are on the way,

You may have a blog or site started with a few decent articles on it, a PLR offer somewhere, maybe more and it will get noticed by someone soon enough which means you are creating your own opportunities.

You could just go for it yourself by starting your own research and get producing, needless to say following this would help you massively.

It’s not that hard to get started writing… this post is 1090 words till this point!

If I can do it, you can. So, what are ya waiting for?

Go make money online freelancing or just go create!

Internet marketing (IM) has some great advantages, but it also has some seriously greedy and deceptive liars in it too… having just seen another bullshit video and pitch from some self proclaimed “guru” I think it’s time this IM niche cleaned itself up.

Someone is watching…as always, something these bullshitting hype marketers could do with taking note of, many of you have been selling the fake bullshit dreams and hype for a long time now and in the process taking the piss out of people, taking their money, misleading them and letting them down.

I am just about sick of these bullshitters in the IM niche and the sly underhand tactics they use to lure people in, and I do mean lure… they more often than not just rip you off.

I unsubbed from so many of the list we in the IM niche get sucked into many months ago, a few I kept over the time and now they are gone too, so I am now only subbed to 3 and it’s staying that way, these 3 deliver good stuff, solid info that will help most people in this niche but they are not geared to noobs in that sense.

I won’t be telling you who is crap and who isn’t, my advice is stay off them all!

Now though, we have something else to help kick these assholes into touch, social media and the way people share and spread things so fast, it means these assholes can’t hide, rip someone off and it will be told somewhere.

So, these sly bastards are new playing a new card, the “woe is me, I did wrong but I am a new person now” angle is coming out… I just hope people don’t fall for it, it’s bullshit that will cost you big money if you do!

The problem is these sly bastards are know realising they can’t keep doing what they did, they know they can’t hide anything, they know FTC is on their backs, they know they would be in deep shit if they get found out, it’s likely they will get found out, well I damn hope they do.

Is it likely the new disclosure rules and the fact they can’t use their bullshit testimonials from “friends” has triggered it off, they are worried and changing tactics, yet only so they can try and fleece more money from the gullible masses, yes they are gullible!

Bullshit claims of 2 hours a day work for 50 grand a month and that sort of crap, people fall for…amazingly!

You have to question your own greed if you fall for that crap, those bullshitters are only worried about their own greed, but you can’t complain if you fall for it, if you do…you are being a hypocrite because it was your own greed that made you fall for it!

Right?

Thought so, so what are we to do about it, those in this IM niche get tarnished with the same brush, which is a damn good reason to start doing something about it, no matter how small it all mounts up.

Let’s face it, Internet Marketing is not going anywhere, it’s just the medium being used for marketing, it’s the way it’s used that needs to be looked and changed, it can only be us who force the change…

There are some great marketers who are ethical, decent and deliver what they promise…simply because they don’t lie about what they can deliver, quite often they will over-deliver which is great for you, me and anyone who buys from them, follows them, these people should be supported.

The rest, ditch em and if they rip you off, shout about it loud and clear, wherever you can, blog about it, tweet it, whatever just don’t let it lie, because who know who they will rip off next?

We all owe to ourselves and everyone else to use some common sense and at least always do your due diligence… that alone will save you money, heartache and pride.

The sooner we boot out these assholes the better for everyone, it’s funny but the biggest most important thing we have is our reputation, yet these assholes don’t care about theirs…at least till they get found out, then it’s too late.

Three things… Mind, Wallet/Purse and Reputation!

Don’t let these idiots put crap into your head, if what they say sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

Don’t spend anything until you get a decent second opinion, even then be very wary of what and how you spend, some of this assholes used sly forced continuity scams.

Strip everything else away and you are left with reputation… what’s theirs like?

What you then do also has an influence over YOUR reputation, don’t let these assholes bad rep ruin yours, and always strive to keep it intact, it’s you main asset.

Save your money, if you must spend it, don’t waste it on bullshit systems, instead get something like these videos, use them to find YOUR niche and then work on that by delivering decent content.

Get involved with decent like minded people who can help you, also help them where you can and you won’t have any need to worry about the bullshitters taking the piss out of you.

Don’t you agree?

There is alot of people now starting to see the merits of doing “stuff” online, whether they started with a hobby frame of mind, or as a result of following their passion, whatever that may be and it’s lead them on a path of questions, possibilities and opportunities.

I have seen some “hobby blogs” and such starting to show signs of the owners realising it for themselves.

It’s how alot get started yet there is something, a question, that always draws people like a magnet… the possibility of doing it for a living…IE “can I seriously make money online doing this shit?” (with a sarcastic nod to their pc)

After all, they are already spending a few hours a week writing, or other content (videos etc) and doing all the “stuff” that they need to do, it’s just a case of asking what else they could do, try, or maybe look for the perfect “plug-in-and-away-you-go” easy money maker.

The slippery slope beckons…

The downside the shillsters don’t tell you about when they sell you their “secrets” and crappy “get rich quick” formulas, that they probably don’t even do themselves (they just get rich quick selling the crap) – is the sheer work and boring repetitive crap that needs to be done in order to get anywhere, it can be demoralising, more so when it takes a while to get results in this day and age of “instant gratification” and over-hyped promises.

Sometimes we all get downhearted doing this that and the other, mind numbing shit that needs to be done cos there ain’t never been results without work, you know action on something rather then sitting on facebook and twitter all day doing bugger all but natter like many do, or if sensible at times, sharing a real worthy tweet!

But don’t you need a system? …

While it’s true you do need to follow a system, you really need to create your own system, not meaning you need to start from scratch either… I came to realise all you do is take what works from different systems, actions, tips, knowledge and adapt them to suit you and to maximise your strengths, whatever they may be…the only way to do that is to actually do, test and improve.

I tell you this, it doesn’t get any easier along the way as many would have you believe, each new thing you get past is great but there is always something else to do, to get past, and it continues but it is a journey, not a destination.
Learning is just a part of life, why should it be any different online?

Everything leads to more questions.

It seems it’s still getting started that comes across as the hardest part of the journey for many, oddly, I wouldn’t say it’s as much now as it was, it’s hard to make the start in some ways, then once going like everything you wonder why you “fretted” over it and these days it’s easier than ever to just do something.

Something’s just sound harder than they are, yeah some of it can sound a little daunting, but how will you know till you do?

So while this system would just help you in alot of ways you could just use the most relevant part(s) of it, lets say you research for a topic to write about based around something you can deal with (keywords) then get started immediately writing quality articles based on what you find worth doing, then set up a basic blogger blog to post some of the articles to, while posting a few to the main article directories, always having a “resource box” at the bottom of each article with a link to your blog, these directories then get you traffic and links back to your blog.

Then tell others about your blog too, while tracking the traffic coming in.

Rinse, repeat with new articles, and even start other possible topics on new blogs, and rinse, repeat again.

Simple, no?

But then, no doubt various questions go through your mind now…that’s the way it works.

“How long is this gonna take to show me results?”
“Is it even going to work?”

The answers to those questions only you have, and they only way you will find out is to do.

So, how long have you got? No, seriously..

If you are seriously considering all of that, you should also ask yourself this…

“Am I willing to do stuff everyday and commit to it for 6 months with NO expectation of reward, knowing I may screw up many times before even hitting the right spot, where I see a monetary result?”

If so, go for it, if not…don’t waste anytime trying, because it ends up very…trying!

If you really have the drive to get started, or have started already but are yet to see the potential to adapt in a way it will benefit you in a monetary kind, then by all means think about it, act on it, if it fits well with you there’s nothing stopping you.

In reality, anyone can make money online.

If you really think, “yep, sounds interesting but where to start?

Write down the 5 things you are most passionate about, knowledgeable of.

Write down all your strengths.

Try to find some overlap of the two and start with that, if there is one, you will have a better chance of staying motivated and it won’t feel like “boring work” then get researching using the systems information for the right starting point within the overlap, if there is one.

Then write at least 10 well keyworded long good quality articles with solid information for the blog and post them one a day, write 10 short but good teasing 3-400 word articles for the article directories and submit them one a day without forgetting to put a link back to your blog in the resource box at bottom of them (which is why you tease them, you want them coming to your blog for more).

Then share the blog URL with others, in bottom of outgoing emails, on social site profiles you have, just get it “out there” and get the ball rolling, join forums and comment on blogs where you “get involved” with your ideal target market, they will click on your signature link under all your post.

Then write more articles, rinse repeat and do it consistently until you have enough data to decide if it’s worthwhile…if so, get monetising by way of adsense, affiliate links, ad-space, whatever works, (yep testing again!) it’s why the research part is so important, two or three extra hours researching could save days, weeks in the long run.

If you find something is working, keep at it and then consider how to grow what works, drop what doesn’t..(yep more testing… see, it’s never ending.)

Don’t do or follow what you don’t need, just improve whatever it is you do and know works, if you use blogger as said above you could then decide to grab a domain and use it on the blog (so simple to do) as it will pay to do so.

If it doesn’t work out, consider just starting again with something else or another angle, no need to delete what you have done if it’s costing nothing anyway, IE its a free blog!

Whatever happens, you will have l
earnt valuable lessons the first time and nothing teaches like experience.

As part of my aim to get healthier and rid myself of bad habits, I have over the last few months been looking into what I can do to boost my chances of success.

Knowing my own doubts on my willpower I felt I had to at least utilise this amazing tool we call the internet and see what I could find out for myself, never know until you look.

People talk of “alternative” therapies, medicine and such, not sure why its called alternative, holistic is more the truth, and it’s no coincidence ancient approaches were holistic, even Native Americans, Aborigines use a holistic approach.

I remember coming across a great article a few years back, I shared it on a forum I am no longer a member of, it was about our cells, DNA and how we are, in a sense, holographic, that is each cell is a mirror image of our whole.

It was a fascinating article, written by a man and woman who were Russian if I remember right, I has it bookmarked but due to the small fire on my pc a wee while ago, which had to be rebuilt I lost it, damn!

No matter, I will find it again I have no doubt.

Regardless, the information in there struck me and stuck in my head so I was surprised a short while back when I started looking into similar things without realising it or doing so without intent, the path it lead me on was fascinating mentally and spiritually, not only that…the “browser history” in chrome also interested me, the way I went along the right path almost wholly guided by my sub-conscience.

I am glad it happened.

I came across something else that reminded me of it, something that got me thinking about it again and with clarity because I felt it really encompassed all that I had been reading about.

What I started looking at a few months (4 or 5) back, it started because I was at a friends house and a fascinating program came on the TV about quantum physics, mechanics, it was in some ways mind-blowing stuff.

Nevertheless getting to understand it as best I could it opened up some fascinating realms of thought for me over the few days afterwards and it was this that got me thinking about the article I shared on the forum, how this quantum fits on a human cellular level, what could we do with it and learn more about it.

Through the wonder of this tool called the internet and reading whatever the path showed me I learnt way more than I thought I would

It lead on a funny path of mixed things, from the water test with words, through to photons, even stuff regarding 2012 and whatever that may bring.

Like I say, a strange path yet in the end it all made sense, enlightening you could say!

The real answers are in us, or if not, they are externally…in nature.

The notion of the “experts” calling 95% of DNA “junk DNA” is almost an insult, do they really expect us to believe that nature would waste so much DNA?

It’s not “junk” just because we don’t fully understand it, that’s absurd itself.

If anything it’s that the lack of understanding that probably scares them.

Anyway, I stumbled on something I have to say is of interest and maybe you could also benefit from it, this is something I did a few months ago and have since set 20 minutes a week to redo, I also approached it with an open mind and no preconceptions other than intent for it to work.

It works on something we have no real control over normally, because it speaks clearly to that part of us we can’t speak to with intent.

The message being given to your bodies intelligence, not your intelligence in the sense we know of, what we think for ourselves, but to that of the unseen intelligence your whole body has, something we rarely even acknowledge let alone use.

Taking just 20 mins to get started on reprogramming yourself, your DNA, your conscience, sub-conscience, your cells, cleansing and healing yourself on a quantum level. Quantum physics to heal mind body and soul.

Realigning your original blueprint, in other words.

What do you have to lose by trying it?
