Portlands westcliff!

Layer upon layer of life!! 😀

Thanks to those of you who subscribed due to the last post, grateful to each of you, interesting to note that those of you who blog or other will often use the RSS reader version, while those of you who just casually use facebook, browse less then the average user, will choose email format. 😉   > > that over there >> 😆

Makes sense to me, I have many times been asked what RSS is and how to use it, even after explaining they will still choose email, my guess is they don’t see the point in them using a RSS reader, which is fine by me. 😉

You may have also noticed…

Commenter’s picture box

I have now added a “great commenter” box on the sidebar, it is in fact the “top” commenter set up, those with most comments showing, interestingly it will only show those who comment on the post if you are reading a post (like this one) as opposed to being on the main home page. . . (ie. robsellen.com) which shows overall top counts.

This uses the universal gravatar, which I think everyone should set up, it’s then connected to your email and used wherever you use that email, once you have done that, all you need to do is comment, using the same email address. 🙂

I added this as another way for you to benefit by leaving a comment here, this and the keywordluv, commentluv set up, being dofollow should help you in several ways. 🙂

No spam will get by me though! 🙂

I am hoping it benefits you, maybe encourages you to go forth and use the force to boldly go make a comment. 🙂

What say… you? 😀

I read your blog from my reader. I can’t imagine hopping around to all of the sites I like to keep an eye on any other way. And I do (at least occasionally) click through to make comments, etc.

The subscribe via email thing is a real head-scratcher to me. The last thing I need in my life is more email. It’s hard for me to imagine someone who actually subscribes to get more email when they have a much less “invasive” alternative.

    Different strokes…

      Thanks. 🙂

One bonus over the email subscription is it doesn’t matter how many post I make on here in any given day, the one email you get will have all unread post in it… 😉

That can be good when you read blogs that are updated alot.

I’m pretty pumped about commenting in general, but not so much because I want to build links but because I feel I haven’t been vocal enough on the Internet. I feel invisible when I consider just how much other bloggers are out there.

So that’s part of my motivation. The other part is that this is a fun blog to read and comment on. Thanks for all your work!

Well I can’t say no now, can I? 🙂 Great to find this post from BloggerLuv. I have been so tied up lately at least the new community site allows me to screen through and check out blogger friends’ posts easily. It’s great you are making effort to connect with your readers via improved comment section. You have my support in this! Keep up the great work. (prior the ‘post comment’, let’s hope my picture shows up correctly) ^^

  5. This is a very nice blog, I always persuade my clients to start a blog because of all the benefits they can bring to their own websites specially when it comes to search engine traffic and SEO tactics. of course; not every one has the ability to write but with a bit of imagination they can make it happen. Great blog!

Well, I actually go directly to your blog to read your new stuffs 🙂 (pretty easy to remember URL). Anyway, cool “great commenter box”, that really is a good and unconventional way to reward your readers here.

I guess BloggerLuv does really work, seeing as one of the comments above found your blog through that community. And yes, I’m hasting to sign up there 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation Rob. Also, feedburner seems to work well now, and I also noticed the number of readers increased.

    regards,

The email subscription works for me. First thing I check when I log on to my computer is my email so I’d be updated when there are new posts. That way, I’ll never miss any update. Anyway, great overall improvement on your blog.
