You hit the nail on the head, I have said this to people before, if they looked at what they already write, social sites like you say, they would realise they already do it way more than they think.

They are, as you know, building other peoples conent up.

Tell your friend that there are lots of people out there just like her that would be desperate to find out tips and hints on just the things she wants to be interested in. Most people thinks it is a great big effort to sit down and write something, because it was so hard in school. yet they spend hours typing to friends on Bebo, facebook and other SN sites!
